Just picked one up after watching this! wow, sounds amazing! Much better IRL than on YT! Thanks for making this vid!

Excellent! I found that it beat every plugin I've ever tried... Everyone is being sold easier these days disguised as better.. I'm trying to make the best records I can, despite the challenges.. If I wanted easy, I don't think I would have a reason to even make music. Video games and butt models are a far easier use/ waste of my time. cheers - Bahrum

R3 were popular in Russia in the late nineties and early noughties. I really like the analog equalizer at the input and the programming capabilities that are useful both in the studio and on stage.

Hey man thanks for posting this vid such an effective review. I just bought one, for electric guitar and sitting in my effects loop marshall jcm900 mk3 sounds wonderful. Is there anyway to adjust the level balance at a global level?

Hello. Glad you enjoyed! I am not aware of adjusting level balance on a global level but admittedly did not dive into the manual.. Let me know if you find such a thing. Thanks

Sweet Videos! Out of all of the reverbs you've posted which seems to sound the best - not as artificial?

Thank you! The Pro R3 Definitely is the gem for more real room sounds! I like the top end clarity better than any plug in I've used and Ive used most. Cheers

How do you find this compared to the REV5? Much difference? Pros/Cons?

Thank you so much for this video. So, what is the "secret combination" to get DRE2000 sound with which another reverb and what presets? 😊

Would love a Lexicon shootout. Just bought one of these but don’t have it yet. Good enough for Clearmountain...

Blue House Sound Studio 300 maybe? That’s what’s at the top of my radar. That or PCM 70/80/90s

Josh Freeland that would be a great video which I would love myself haha ... Idk when I’ll get time to do it but I do have access to a PCM60 and an original 224

Blue House Sound Studio 224 would be super interesting. Confident I’ll almost surely never have a 224 or 480/960 hardware.

Yes... depending on your PA or mixer you can add this as an insert into the line if you have those routing capabilities. Cheers - Bahrum

Hi! Any chance to demo Alesis Microverb 4 in the same environment? Just want to know is there a reason to change my MV4 to this or REV5/7
@BlueHouseSoundStudio
@BlueHouseSoundStudio 4 жыл бұрын
Aspherical Arts Prod. Hello, we do not currently own a MV4. My advice is to stick to your MV4 and add a second inexpensive vintage unit to complement it when you get a chance... lots of videos will at least give you a sense of the tone of a unit. Just stay away from plug ins unless it’s just giving you something or representing a sound you can get else where... just know that is more or less a fake attempt at what the real units have to offer... example I rather use a real ProR3 than a fake Sony DRE 2000 etc . Cheers

I just picked one up and it does not touch the pro r3 in quality. I'm actually disappointed. The yamaha rev series sounds so wide and bright where the Alesis sounds dull. Some of the room presets sound good on the midiv4 but the halls sound artifical and dull.

Hi, what’s the preset name that comes close to the Sony Dre 2000? Thanks
@BlueHouseSoundStudio
@BlueHouseSoundStudio Жыл бұрын
It was told to me once and I now don’t remember. I never had a real Sony DRE 2000 to compare. Bob Clearmountain calls it really rich and smooth for long reverbs. Cheers

Nah, you're just completely unexperienced to put a 100% wet signal in context with a dry signal that is not provided. I'm aware, that's hard to learn with a tool kit based on Fruity Loops and ready-made chord progressions

@@-K3C- And that's exactly the reason why I completely understand your opinion on the R3. I do agree. That box has the Yamaha house sound . . which is only "good" in its basic rough version in the SPX90
