This weapon is even better than shown here, thanks to it having a special greatsword parry animation that is far quicker and safer than the usual UGS parry and the fact that the sin damage penalty is actually horribly bugged and hardly affects the damage at all. At maximum sin, despite what the weapon AR tells you, it loses only about 45~ damage per attack and still is one of the most powerful UGSs in the Souls series for how powerful, versatile and light weight it is.

Naked man escapes from prison and proceeds to kill everyone in drangleic kingdom 🙏 Btw about the sinner modifier : the AR menu in this game sucks. Basically when you're at 0 sins, you have a damage bonus, and each time you commit a sin you lose a little bit of it (at 30 sins you get back to the regular scaling of the sword). Some say that this damage bonus comes from a scaling bonus on dex or strength, which sounds logical cause the damage difference between 0 and 30 sins when you infuse the sword is negligible, thus you should always go for a raw or faith/magic/dark build with that sword

Turns out the sin level of your character only minimally affects your damage. So while killing 2 npcs will show in the AR menu (attack rating) in practice the damage drop off would only be like 5 . So very minimal. This leaves room for killing maughlin and the rotunda lockstone lady for those who want a faster more convenient run. 😁

yo do a Faraam Knight/Forossa Lion Knight build aka the DS2 cover Knight, their build consists of the Golden Wing Crest Shield and powerstancing one-handed weapons (longswords mainly) and of course their armor in Drangleic Castle. They don't use any particular element or weapon so it's more of a "do whatever you want" cosplay build so go wild with this build.

I’ve been singing this weapon’s praises since 2014. My main for many runs. Great training weapon, as the chip damage on hit is good practice for trigger discipline, since even environmental objects like boxes chip away. To balance that annoyance, you get huge power in a tiny 12 unit package, with minuscule stamina consumption. Any build can run it, because of its huge base damage, low scaling, which arguably makes this the best weapon in the game for the Raw Infusion. And the weapon skin rocks. It’s the LSS UGS. One bad mo’fo fo’sho. *aw man, it was nails on a chalkboard hearing Lost Sinner’s Greatsword over and over. My bae. Lost Sinner’s Sword Ultragreatsword. Power and beauty has a name, and it is LSS.

That is what recommend to kill every NPC before to go a NG+, to get their items and be absolved for free.
