.308 MDR ergo build with a shift grip is absolutely insane for CQC in spots like dorms. 90 ergo on a full auto .308 gun is heavily underrated. 30+ round mags exist for .308 guns so I hope they add them to the game in the future. Additionally, something I'm not sure you mentioned in the video is that both MDRs have slower rate of fires than the m4/hk and the FAL so even though they are higher recoil, the slower rate of fire makes the recoil not as bad.

The 308 MDR is the gun I run to when I can’t get any kills. It is an absolute monster, if you need to tap from range, do it, but when people get close it’s just as good as a 400k juice cannon

The 5.56 MDR is definitely a great budget choice compared to m4's/hk416s. IF you are at least level 40 however you can kit out a FAL for cheap with the mechanic barter trade for nixxors. I take off everything but the pistol grip and dust cover and sell it back to mechanic for around 60k. You basically get a FAL for 20k, my budget build on that is casv handguard, rk-0, brs stock, and a BMD or suppressor. Around 80 vertical recoil and access to bigger mags.

The other thing is 65 recoil on the MDR 5.56 feels considerably less jumpy than a 5.45 ak with 65 recoil imo

A decent second suppressor option for the .308 is AAC Blackout flash hider with AAC 762 SDN-6 suppressor for about 42000R total

That haircut looking sharp! I would have to agree that the 5.56 MDR gets a lot of hate unnecessarily due to its lower fire rate. If someone uses a meta AK using say BT the MDR is just better for cheaper if you use 855a1. I think for me though the most overloooked gun is still the 7.62 VEPR. People freak out because its not full auto but it packs a punch when you run BP and can def be pointfired CQB or snipe people from distance.

I’m only lvl 20 and gotta say my favorite weapon so far is the 7.62 vepr. I found it without it’s dust cover when I was lvl 6 and had found a bm-10 hand guard (something like that) the raid before and popped a fore grip and sight on that sucker and I was good! I always get it back from insurance and 7.62 is a great round and doesn’t break the bank.

Something to consider with the MDR is that the recoil stat look worse than it is because of the fire rate. Because its slower, its compairable to an m4 with a vert stat in the 30-40 range. But it also hurts it in a spray and pray situation cuz you will get out hosed by something high fire rate.

One of the things that I learned over the course of 700 hours. Yes. I still have gear fear at t he back of my mind that im slowly getting rid of. BUT. I've been utilising my scav alot for a few reasons. 1. Run reserve.The map is small. Smaller than all except factory but the amount of loot doesn't compare per KM you need to travel. 2. I learn to shoot and operate weapons at their bare bone, without the attachments getting used to them that way. 3. The only time I will kit out a weapon is when I have a ridicolus abundance of roubles. At lvl 30, not even close to getting kappa and sitting at 15mil. My thing is right now its.. kind of useless unless you wanna no life it to basicaly pick a gun, just one and max it to lvl 3, to get the mastery on and then move to the next gun. But seeing as the wipes will continue to happen for some time, I don't care about that. As its a looming thing. A wipe will happen. You lose your shit, start over. If you want to play for fun and take it easy and not burn yourself out utilise your scav more than your pmc. Thats my 2 cents.!

700h is still like startibg to play, but you will see even when only running your pmc you will be better geared and make more money than your scav runs, and it will be more enjoyable since you have acces to (spare) good ammo in raid, gpod armor and a lot of meds. Scavs are great if you struggle with money but going only on pmc raids is something that takes the tarkov experience to the next level

What you actually need: Good passive skills, in this context assault rifle and recoil control in particular. If you have that most automatic rifles with decent ammo and basic modding will do fine, without it expensive meta guns wont be that good and just expensive compensation for your lack of passive skills.

I've been using the MP-153 with AP slugs a lot recently and it absolutely wrecks geared players. If you get Jaegar up to level 4, it wouldn't cost too much to put a suppressor, 8 round mag and reflex sight on it and AP slugs are stupid cheap from him. Even maaged to get one of my Shooter Born in Heaven kills with it.

Try the saiga with flechette and 10+ round mags, much higher fire rate, absolutely deletes chads in the legs and you get full health armour

I've tried running the 308 MDR but those 20 round magazines are locked behind a Quest and I can't buy them which really sucks. So for people that don't play alot they won't be able to buy magazines for it. The 556 MDR is a great value but its biggest fault is the low rate of fire.

The Big PP-19 is what I consider the most underrated sleeper. Slap a cheap optic on it and cram it full of ap 6.3. Not as fast and laser-ey as a meta mpx, but LOOOOOAADS cheaper, and it takes a lot of those cheap ak parts you can get early. Take a new handguard with some rails and a TBL for a real shoot from the hip stroll through factory.

Honestly the PP-19-01 Vityaz in my opinion is THE most underrated. It's by far my favorite gun in game with the addition of 7n31 it absolutely shreds (not that it didnt before).. For under 60k you can easily get above 60 ergo with under 35 vert recoil. Firing 39 pen rounds.. The satisfaction i get from downing big boys with a 60k PP.. Pretty good.

Most budget guns would hugely benefit for that extra ergo over 2% recoil. Getting to 60+ ergo makes a big difference. Plus this is for budget, I'll keep the 9k so I can get another m lock next run.

I should give the 308 MDR another go. I use a lot of SA68s because you can get the recoils down way more and they have a faster fire rate, but for the price these might be fun to run.

MDRs simply have 1 overlooked achilles heel, and another hurdle for the .308 variant. .308 MDRs only have 10/20 round magazines available while their contemporaries have access to 30 rounders and even 50 round drums which does put them a good bit above the MDR in regards to gunfight flexibility. But both MDRs still suffer from weak fire rates. At 650 rpm every other endgame meta gun puts way more shots on target in the same amount of time. Don't misconstrue, the MDR is a true sleeper, but the massive deficit in raw firepower between the MDRs and their competition is very real.

I wish there were people who like high caliber guns like FAL or Hunter who would give advice on how to get those bigger rifles to work best. I'm so done with these 5.56 and 5.45 that you gotta get 6 hits on target to make a difference where I like guns that have two hits and it's the end of the fight. You can get the recoil down to 85 and 201 when slapping the Lantec Dragon + the BMD on it. I pretty much run all .308 with the Lantec setup. It does serve me well. Of course you will be heard across the map, but then again PvP will come to you. :)

Get a HK, replace the barral with 16 inch and sell the 14 inch, get the BUS stock, and put the CQB compensator. You get a 55 recoil HK at around 90K. Don't understand why you would spend more on a MDR.

I got my meta M4A1 down to 32 recoil. My only reason for ignoring the MDR is that I hate bullpups i hate the way they look, the way they operate and who wants to reach up into their armpits to reload.

A tan MDR with an RC2 suppressor and an RK-0 or RK-1 grip along with a sight and laser of choice is a good budget weapon, 2$ a shot for M855A1 ammo in 30 rounders (low fire rate 60 rounders aren't very good) is cheeeeaaaaaappppp!

Great vid 🐕! Man it must be nice having maxed traders. I'll have L2 anytime but I'm not sure I'll get L3 before next wipe. At least there's zero chance of L3 Jaeger and Peacekeeper. You can just convert rubles to dollars for Peacekeeper, which I can afford for L2 but it'll take a bit still cause it'll be almost a mill. Frickin Jaeger, the tool, hardly buys back anything so there's no way I'll get L3 and maybe not even L2 for him. So for a lotta stuff I have to rely on the FM, which for most stuff is more expensive now cause of FIR. Similar to "if you're gonna be dumb ya gotta be tough" for Tarkov it's "if you're gonna suck ya gotta be tough" lol.

I think as same. Every 10 (10-20-30...) lvl I just look around about which guns are open to buy from trader, how good they are for that price. Tried to make low budget but usable M4 or Adar and I was just like, Standard Adar enough to scav hunting/ loot running and with a lot of practice of aiming enough to kill PMC. It was interesting to find MDR ... I was like ok make M4 with kinda same stat(ergo recoil) and it was ~80k.... Oook with M-LOK forgrip it will enough. I think the players the META thinking should let it go, practice AIMing like in offline labs etc then the "cheaper" guns will as same good as the meta :) .308 ... M80 the most underrated bullets in the game(For that dmg that price is a joke), with Auto gun 80% killable (20% class5+ PMC)

I love the MDR’s. I think outside of the magazine capacity, the only really downside is not being able to run a canted optic. I’m a huge fan of the Valday scope, but I like running a red dot alongside it..the MDRs unfortunately don’t allow it. Kinda forces you into a different optic. Still though, these are some of my favorite weapons to run! Can we also get a quick shoutout for how dope they sound with the Wave Suppressor?? 🤤

pst gzh is crap, it can't even penetrate class 3 which is the most common face-shield class and it's almost impossible to line up 3-5 shots in face. ap 6.3 is the way to go. 7n31 is way better, but the price is ridiculously high. Also why spend 50k on pp and 600 rubles for each round with 30pen if you can build m4 with 63 recoil for 70k and 250 rubles for each round with 43 pen. In conclusion PP-19 is not underrated, it's just bad, mostly due to ammo prices. And if you want a cheap gun for face shots you can always use saiga-9. Automatic fire while trying to hit face is a hindrance not an advantage.

I highly doubt you can build this m4 but i would love to be proven wrong on that point. But the statement "automatic fire while trying to hit face is a hindurance" is just flat out wrong. You definitely wanna spray the pp-19 because ap 6.3 doesn't even one tap lvl 3 helmets and face shields. Additionally, controlling first shot recoil of the saiga 9 is much more difficult that spraying 2-3 bullets with the pp-19 and then having basically zero recoil while spraying after that and obviously you're gonna have a way faster time to kill with full auto. Finally, comparing recoil stats of guns with different rates of fire is kinda misleading since a slower rpm gun will have less felt recoil than a higher rpm gun assuming equal recoil stats because the slower rpm gun will have more time between shots to "reset" the recoil. The best example of this is comparing the mp9 with the mp9-n. they have equal recoil stats but the mp9-n has 100 rpm more and kicks higher because of it

I will use my SA58. With better ergo. lower recoil. Higher fire rate. Better muzzle velocity. better Moa. Sa58 is the best .308. Only use M993. In 30 rounders.

The only 2 things I like about the 5.56 MDR is good base stats, and it’s easy to mod. It just has too slow a fire rate man. A MDR with M855A1 will probably lose against an M4 with M855A1 the firerate WILL get you killed.

Nobody is arguing that the MDR is just as good as an M4 or that the MDR isn't without its flaws, The point of the video is that you're paying quite a bit less for something that's just slightly worse.

Think I'll give the 308 MDR a go. I like that big fat calibre of bullet but normally find bringing the recoil of say an M1A to a level that's usable in CQB's is VERY costly. I've got 4 'meta' M1A's (2 built 2 from kills) that I pretty much never use. Running around with 300k-500k rubles in your hands really hurts when you get 1 tapped. The 308 MDR should be a nice cheaper way to use the excess of those big boi rounds I'm starting to get. 20 round mags does mean it's nowhere near as forgiving as the 60 round RPK, HK and M4's I've been running lately.

The MDR is sick, but on the 308 side, definitely not cheaper than kitting an SLR. . . 39,000 rubles for a 20 round mag?! You out your mind.

Excellent video!, I recently got rage quit angry from a hacker and sold every weapon in my inventory :) that cheaper MDR build will allow me to wreck without going broke buying Meta weapons

the value of those guns like mp7 and vss and as val is that you but as many parts in it so it becomes much cheaper than m4. also there are lots of guns with those stats. also saying its so much cheaper than meta m4 but how much is it cheaper to m4 that has similar stats? you would get it much cheaper than meta also. so your point is you can have decently good gun with less money than meta but there are lots of other guns that do the same thing as dt mdr
