Curious to know what the hiking poles you’re “attached to” are? I need some recommendations for good poles.

I wonder how strong these are, when used as hiking poles. Would you trust them on a descent? Feels like the extension mechanisms could give way!

If this was half the price it would be a fun gift for my brother-in-law. The kind of gift which appears thoughtful and kind, but as the giver of said gift I’d have the smug satisfaction of knowing it would annoy the hell out of the poor bastard trying to use it.

I can sort of see the use, but as with you my own walking poles are quite good and I like them, so a no from me. However, good to hear another Tolkien quote in your videos!

This is brilliant, not sure how my lanshan would cope though.

Now someone has had a proper thinking cap on in the design of this tripod.

at 4ft9, it sounds perfect for me... no bending for me. :D

Novel idea and I was seriously tempted by these but just feel they would get trashed in the environment we hike in. 🤔

They are quite solidly built, but not sure how that would hold up long term. Currently I get 3/4 years out of a tripod before I’ve it trashed

@@stevestechemporium I tend to break or lose a set of hiking poles every 2-3 years. Tripods I'm forever changing. :D
