Main thing is After Effects. Find some simple motion graphics tutorials that cover the basics of position and scale. Then maybe learn about track mattes and parenting too, cause they're very useful. Third thing is to render out in a format that supports the alpha channel, like MOV or WebM to reuse the animation as an asset.
