Just wanted to say that your reviews have been really strong lately. There was a short phase for the channel where I was getting worried that you were drifting from your strengths (things were getting a little gimmicky with throwing things off cranes etc.). But you’ve been killing it lately and getting back to core informative reviews that reveal the negatives as well as the positives. Your recent review of the REP functional trainer was spot on. Reviews I’m looking forward to: Stray Dog GOAT (maybe in comparison to the Isolator), and the BOS plate loaded cable tower. Cheers!

Sometimes with expensive equipment, the target market is commercial gyms and schools. But with the small parts that can be lost, no commercial gym would risk buying it. Clearly a home gym product, at a university training facility price.

I think they are priced to the moon because it must take two hours to weld that thing together! Look at all those joints! I think you missed a feature, in that it looks like you could flip the handles over (so they hang down) and it will act like a cambered bar. That may also work for a suitcase carry, but it's hard to say without trying it.

That concept could easily be improved to make it a very nice mulit-grip bar. If you make the handles rotate and slide within the frame and use captured spring-loaded pins to adjust their position. As well as add regular stainless steel barbell sleeves and stainless steel knurled handles. It could be the best as well as the easiest adjusted multi-grip bar available. And making narrow as well as cambered versions would be an easy addition to the lineup. I hope rogue fitness steals my ideas so I can buy them next year.

I had a lot of similar thoughts. It seems like a great prototype but doesn't feel like a finished product ready for market yet. Not sure what they're thinking, especially with that price point. Got my titan angled grip bar v3, for like $99 on sale with free shipping. Has knurled grips, wider max grip, and only 10in chassis vs this ones 11. Not the nicest bar but just uncomparable value. Titan quality usually isnt the best but the angled bar is actually well built. If this was Sub $400, less wide chassis, knurled grips, and could go wider, id buy this. Also my thought on adjustable grips. The point isnt to change it 24/7. The point is to get it just right. I got my titan bar because I wanted max width. I kinda think its too wide. adjustable if it actually let you go wide enough, can help someone fine tune the width they actually want between 30-25in width, which is where most bars max width ends up.

Strong bar, will never die, low maintenance, but the price should come down. It is not a defective design, so if the price goes down then it will be viable. The lack of knurling on the handles is curious. I find that straight metal is not as grippy. The straight metal is probably varnished so it will not rust. There is always a market for a product.

This company was tailor made for military sales. That being said there will always be a team exercise concept within any fitness equipment designed and built for the military. The handle position is probably not meant to be changed frequently even though it has speed nuts. Military men and women come in all shapes now. Looking at the website and how they market the exercise box... there will be at least two of these in most of the gym boxes they sell. Along with that many products need to meet certain requirements to be sold for government use; that's where your price tag tends to start running away. They are going after organizational training sales not home gyms. I would not be surprised if they offered special pricing for large military, government, LE, first responder and education discounts and outfitting those types of organizations. Buy this bar is you're tacticool and have a gym outside in the middle of the desert. Great review best home gym channel, garage or basement.

If I was just starting off and it was cambered I would probably go for it. Just the because of the adjustable handles alone. Besides the great welds this bar is trash. That’s a no from me, dog. Something that I have always thought is a lost opportunity from these bars is that there’s NO reason, in my humble opinion that all these speciality bars should come with a dead center rotating attachment point, a double symmetrical attachment point for machines with the double stacks, AND be landmine compatible. I don’t really think that that’s much additional engineering to accommodate all lifting variants/preferences. I’d say they definitely shit the bed on this’ne.
