I remember the first time I rode Expedition Everest. It was a lot of fun but it was quite scary and intense at times. During the biggest drop, I actually clutched my dad tight as he gave me an odd stare. I have no idea why. I was 32 at the time. LOL.

I went last August and that was the first ride I went on. I swear I was terrified for like 5 seconds then when the ride really got going, It was AWESOME!

I first went on it back in 2016 and I was absolutely terrified and refused to go back on it ever again then I went back in 2017 and booked a fastpass for it to try and get over my fear of it and I remember regretting it as I was walking up to the queue 😂 but I finally went on it again and now I love it and I went on it 6 times during my 2 weeks there in 2017 😂😂😂

Since the park is closed, this would surely be the moment you needed to bring the Yeti back to 'mode a'. The Yeti has been in 'b mode' for years and the only way to fix it is to disable the park's best attraction for a while, and it doesn't work if AK is open to the public.

That sort of refurbishment would take a long time including the planning and construction teams aren't working at Disney at the moment so it couldn't happen unfortunately. As much as we all would love it to.

I sure do miss - 1) That Eagle at the Top 2) When the Yeti actually moved (we're not talking the projection!) Team Disney can schill $79 billion dollars for 20th Century Fox, but won't spend a penny fixing a Ride (yeah I know Imagineers would need to excavate, but that's what you get for not designing "with maintenance in mind")! 🤷🏼‍♂️

jasobres I don’t think they can. The yeti can’t be removed from inside and I don’t think there’s a way for the amount of force its body creates to not crack a new concrete foundation if they were to find a way to give it one. Which makes me very sad :(

They would have to shut down a large portion surrounding the ride. I know they have a goal to, but the way the structure is built makes it almost impossible. He can’t be removed from the inside and trying would likely crack the concrete and basically mean rebuilding large sections of the ride. Maybe one day.

For some apparent reason, whenever my family goes on a ride at Disney with my dad it almost always breaks down. Last year at Animal Kingdom, my dad and I were riding expedition Everest, and just as we were going on the incline I heard a CRACK!, and our train stopped. I remember right when we stopped I yelled, "DAAAD!" Eventually our train started moving right to the part before you go backwards and stopped again. Then we were evacuated from the ride by cast members and had to climb down around 13 flights of stairs. So I guess you could say that my dad and I climbed down Everest. 😂

They have trimmed back all construction to just projects that are close to completion hard to pay for construction without the income from parks and movies

I remember being on the ride on the first day of AP Previews, I was early in the morning riding within an hour or so of the event starting I was on, our train had to e-stop and get towed back because a launch with an unlocked restraint in the back of the train... but when we did get to go, the Yeti was the best bit, #FixTheYetiJoe when you do that will be my #DisneyMagicMoments
