This is a custom map but in the current content you have to build base, build up your defences, farm resources while pushing back the map zombies (without making too much noise to avoid a stampede) then every so many days a large wave will come and try to feck your base. It's difficult but pretty satisfying. Plans for a campaign and I believe a map editors now available. Deffo worth a go if you like RTS.

The problem is that in book WWZ the weapons being used are super specific, too specific for this game. There are no military vehicles or airstrikes. There also isn't a perfectly comparable unit to line of rifleman that were used to pick off larger hordes from long range.

Yonkers) which were fought with current military weapons: tanks, planes, machine guns, etc. And later battles (ex. Battle of Hope) which were fought under a revised doctrine that use only rifleman.

Highly unrealistic game. Most games and movies today underestimate the power and destruction force of modern firearms and artillery. You killed little over 85k zombies. 102 years and some odd months ago, in first day on the Somme, British suffered over 54,000 casualties. They were not unarmed zombies, they had rifles and grenades and machineguns, supported by artillery and airplanes and whole nations fabricating war materiel. I'm sorry but there is no amount of unarmed zombies that ca break through a trench defense line, like the ones of Hindenburg line 100 years ago. Two or three 150 mm howitzers could hold that canyon you fought into indefinitely, assuming they have enough ammunition.

Still. If we will discuss your point of view. First of all - those are zombies which will not die or stop by being shot once or twice like real human. Also I really think that blast wave will also not really do much harm for them. They will probably just fall for few seconds but then will continue walking to the trench. So the blast of regular 150mm cannon will probably erase 10-15 of zombies which are close enough, and others will just continue walking. Game do not say it directly, but I think that amount of health of zombies it's the amount of damage which they can receive before they will just fall apart. So second point is that the army which will want to be alive during such assault need to use big guns which will quickly overheat and broke eventually due to continues shooting. Did you know that most modern tanks cannons are designed to perform 400-900 shoots and then they need to be replaced? I think that 100 years ago artillery also got some confines. Third point is the ammo - modern big machine guns easily do 200 shots per minute. And for example 20 minutes of action will require each man with such weapon to have on it's position 4000 rounds! 12,7×108mm ammo (which I think will do great damage to dead bodies) weight is 50g, in other words 4000*0.05= 200kg of ammunition only for one man with machine gun, only for 20 minutes of battle! And what about 150mm cannons? You will need additional man for each gun which will continuously run between ammo storage and fire position so that weapons will not stop firing. And last point (only because I already want to continue working as in other case I may imagine more points) - Those were not only regular human like zombies. The horde also contains big mutants which probably may survive even during incentive fire from 12.7 caliber. Also there were fast one which may jump on long distance. If one or two such will jump into the trances they will create panic during which horde will broke the line and overwhelm defense line. Still I think that few B-52 with 30.000kg of booms each, which will come to the field each 5-10 minutes may really do some great damage to the horde and make the work of the trench defense much easier.

Why is everyone so mad at this...? Hes probably not that good at TAB, and even if he was this was made just for fun not to tryhard and easily win which is easily made by doing Trap - Wall - Shock - Executor and some thanatos then repeat for the entire map. Is that fun to watch? Probably not, because we all know he will 100% win unless the wave is infinite. Just stop saying that X is not extremely well made or complex, not everyone have 25 hours per day to use on the stuff they want to do AND this one map might not be the only one he tried so thats why he did it faster and not focused on doing proper defenses. Is it that hard to understand? :D
