Another great video ... Lots of details. But man, I need to rewatch this a lot more to get all the information - leg locks are still complicated as hell and nobody uses them at my gym but like you said in the beginning: create a dilemma - why only focus on 50% of the body , if someone is vary of leg entanglement attacking becomes a lot more diverse

The one thing that sucks about John Danaher's influence on bjj is what we have here. A Brazilian martial art being trained in the USA while using Japanese terms to describe positions and moves. SMH were in America, we don't speak Japanese or Portuguese. Please use English when describing a move or position, unless of course you are in a Japan teaching a class. Using language that is understood by all so increase how fast everyone can improve.

Love me some rafa, but I wish you would cover his gi stuff😅😅😅 You should also get a partner and film some of the positions you talk about a lot. I feel like your production value would skyrocket. Sometimes the high paced comp footage can make it difficult to see especially for a non leg locker as myself. Before you say we'll I'm just a purple belt, STFU, your videos are top notch and I'm not looking for a detailed analysis of the position I just want a slower smoother transition to view. Just make sure you guys were different colored rash guards, cuz that all black shit blows.

Something I notice at least recently (Been doing jujitsu for 2 years) at least up until blue belt and mid level blue belts too. No ones does any ankle locks. Everyone who does I've seen dominant at some city event competition. I've absolutely caught a purple belt off guard with it once (they pull guard hard) I got it once, let me tell you, I never not been tapped 5 times in less than 3 minuets from that guy from there on. Pulling guard has been so strong that ankle locks are really easy for low levels. However, I notice purple and higher or high level no gi tournaments, leg locks are bigger now. You think professors have been pushing aside leg locks to much? Long type and I don't know if I worded that right

I definitely agree. It is a weak point in my game. I just jumped straight to heel hooks and think the straight ankle lock is something I need to spend some time on
