he was training in a rural town with limited talent, he learned quick by absorbing instructionals and trying out techniques he saw online. Every person that gets good quick does the same shit, get obsessed, watch instructionals, train smart. Its not some mystical secret.

I agree. He seems to have a funny way to tell things but if you happen to be on the receiving end I guess it might be quite harsh. Like someone says (and I totally agree), top guys don't keep the lights on, hobbysts and or recreational people do, the ones who show up day after day, and don't quit. How many champions are there? not so many, and they get to be where they are by training with other people, it's a combat sport, so by definition you need to fight someone else to learn and practice, so what if someone is "bad at jiujitsu" but still shows up, pays the fee and works hard, you just going to "not talk to them", I hope he's joking but somehow I guess he's not
