Y'know. I've always assumed the MP5SD to be a generic internal suppressed weapon but finding out that it turns super sonic bullets into sub sonic is really really cool.

They even did some prototyping for the marines with a sub/super switch.They put a little gas tank in it for overflow gases and added the switch to the sights.Bcs why not.

MP5 is just too sexy, I'd have to go for the original, unsuppressed version. However, it's insane how quiet the Germans made an already incredibly effective weapon THAT WAS BUILT IN THE 60s!

Here in Germany the MP5 is pretty much the Standard Weapon of Police Guards anywhere from Airports to Christmas Markets etc. I mention that because everytime i meet Americans who are also Gun Lovers in Germany they always tell me how surprised they are to see German Police seemingly have MP5s as Standard Weapon when guarding

Man do I love the history of these guns. My favorite gun when Playing Battlefield 1 is the Hotchkiss M1909 Benét-Mercié machine gun. Back when I was an FFL 01, I went to a Friend's house to shoot. He was an FFL 07 and he let me shoot a LOT of his Class 3 Full Auto weapons: Glock 18, M60, AK 47....and yes, an MP5SD. Out of all of those FA Guns, the MP5SD is the one that I fell in love with (Sorry, Brandon, the AK came in a close second, LOL!). This was the Gun that convinced me to get my SOT, along with encouragement from Keith (Search "Leona Machine Gun Shoot" on KZbin) and the ATF Agent that did my Compliance Inspection (Yes, as hard as it seems today, back then the ATF Agents were actually on the FFL's side and tried to help). I could have gotten an LE Demo Letter and bought a "Dealer Sample" really cheap but after getting the SOT, I began thinking about how much ammo I was about to be going through. Not to mention that, when I let the SOT go I'd have to get rid of the Gun. Anyway, long story short (yeah, I know...TOO LATE!), I ended up not getting any FA Weapons. BUT I highly recommend that if you've never shot FA and get the chance to shoot an MP5SD, do it!

H&K makes some interesting guns. Keltech also makes what i like to refer to as industrial standard crackhead concepts. The H&K G11, MP7, and MP9 are decent examples. There's a belt fed variant of the H&K G3, the HK21E1
