I remember I never saw any video, or even clips, of Mr. Beast untill one of my favourite KZbinrs, Jaiden Animations, won one of the challenges. She made a video about her experience and I was immediately alarmed by what she said the sleeping conditions were. She expected they would be allowed to sleep normally somewhere else then the big square room they had to stay in for days, and just fake they slept inside, but instead the staff brought beds into the room and all the participants had to sleep next to eachother in that cube. That's not the concerning part tho. They were woken up by harsh light rapidly going on and off accompanied with painful "construction" noises. Apparently the staff were doing tests and didn't inform any of the players beforehand, despite how horrible the consequences could have been. Other KZbinrs commented they were also not allowed to go to restroom outside of the cube, instead the staff brought potty pods from time to time, the floor was a big screen which meant it was always bright and warm, but the challenges were at night, so some described themselves as "sleep deprived and unable to take a nap". Everyone mentioned they had nothing to do for literally several hours between the challenges. Jaiden also mentioned offhandedly small rations of food, not being informed what she agreed to do or that there even was a reward. No-one was allowed to have their phones inside so they couldn't even tell anyone what was happening to them once they learned they were going to say in the cube. Jaiden actually made a deal with her opponent of the second challenge that whoever loses will the world the other one was fine, because at that point they were inside for 12 hours with no ability to communicate with anyone outside. And that's how they treated famous, big KZbinrs. I absolutely believe what the regular people accuse Beast of.

If they have an NDA, why is he paying people hush money? Aren't they already sworn to secrecy? So they are paid to say nothing or paid to say they were not injured? An injury is a tort which you could collect from. NDAs usually only protect trade secrets or secret sauce or a formula. The NDA does not mean you can't talk about what happened to you or anyone else at work. There are labor and whistleblower laws for illegal work and unsafe work practices that can be reported for a reason. There is also wage and labor. Just because you are called a contract or temp employee doesn't mean they can pay you as such. Jake would not have had to do the show or been enticed to do the show, had he been paid a fair wage under the Fair Labor Standards Act.(Missclassification of job) You can't pay or treat someone as a part timer or pay them as such, if they are doing the work of a full time employee. I had this happen with an employer that said I was contract but I was doing the same or more than full time benefited staff and they ultimately had to pay me the difference. Anyone saying Jake took a pay out, clearly does not understand what fair labor is. Based on the hours and what he did, if it were more than one job, he would have been owed far more than what he recieved.
