This one took quite a while, just practicing some new stuff in editing since Davinci Resolve just updated. Speaking of edits, just a slight correction to the video, I keep saying that Uzi has three personalities now, when it should just be 2 extra ones [Doll and the Solver] lol. Whew, can't believe that it's been 3 years already, huh? Can't believe that this show is ending...No, it isn't making me feel old. Bite me! So, what did you think of this finale? Did it ruin the entire show for you like it did for many others? Share your thoughts in the comments below. Thanks for watching!

Here we go again, time to spread my virus MY HONEST OPINION Murder Drones, the series was getting really serious and dark by the penultimate episode, plus it reminded me of Shingeki no Kyojin since the initial story turned out to be a lie. Also, they didn’t abandon the humor but they toned it down now and it was great, however, the last episode feels like everyone is back in episode 1, ESPECIALLY the main character Uzi. Action-wise, there’s everything we wanted to see, plus, I always like it when they find a creative way to take down an OP villain (I knew the weakness to sunlight would be used at some point). It's about the LORE that I hate this last episode, the series was always characterized by giving us part of the lore in each episode THAT was what I love (or loved) so much about the series, however, when they killed Doll in the penultimate episode, I started to worry that they were speeding up to meet the 8 announced episodes, then it was revealed that the last one lasted only 20 MINUTES I started to get scared, and when the episode finally arrived... I was left with a void... doubts were left in the air, stories that could have been better told. -Who or what is the Absolute Solver? Is it just a power controlled by Cyn or is it an entity of its own? -How did the Solver and its Drones expand throughout the universe? -What did the humans do on Cooper-9? -Who or what killed Nori?! -Doll is also alive inside Uzi?! -We see J repairing the ship in the credits, where will he go? -What happened to the other 2 spaceships? Why did he come to the planet with three just to destroy them on impact? -What happened to the other Killer Drones? It's impossible that only N, V and J are the only "Effective" ones, there has to be AT LEAST ONE on some planet or something. And let's not even talk about several details that throughout the show made me believe that the end of the series was Interstellar style, that is, chaotic but without loose ends. In Murder Drones, no, many details were left in the air and I will ALWAYS defend the idea that Digital Circus took the attention away from Murder Drones and Glitch privately asked Liam Vickers to cut the story to finish it as quickly as possible to dedicate himself to something else. -What about the company? Was J tricked or was she pretending with the others and never really existed? -The Solver is not hungry, is she trapped in Uzi? -WHY DID THEY MAKE SUCH AN INTERESTING CHARACTER LIKE DOLL TO KILL HER?! -Why didn't they expand on the information about the Solver? Even Bill Cipher, without needing to tell his origin, was better explained. -How did the Sover get out of the mansion and destroy the earth? -Why are the laboratories above corporate but a mine below? -WHAT IS A CHURCH DOING THERE?! (Literally in a text they say that it was already there, which made me strongly think that there would be time travel at the end) -WHAT THE HELL IS THE CURE PLOT FOR?! IT WAS USELESS! Anyway... I thought Murder Drones was a series like Gravity Falls or Evangelion or even FNAF where every detail at the end would have an explanation but it wasn't like that. Even so, we had a happy but VERY open ending, whatever they say, THEY HAVE TO CONTINUE WITH THIS UNIVERSE... at least the fans already have their own projects underway, I may be part of one. I love well told stories, and Sy-fy and horror are my all-time favorites, that’s why I always prefer this show over TADC, humor and action were a secondary priority for me, I always came back for the story but they rushed everything and thought that with one epic final fight the fandom would magically forget all the details and lore they’d been feeding us for 3 YEARS, please this is not just any Netflix show, this was a story made over 3 YEARS, how can they make everything be resolved at the end with one fight? You watch the entire series and you feel like it’s a Netflix show, but it’s when you realize the true time lapse between one episode and another that you realize it was a waste of time that they ended up going for a standard story structure but with a SUPREMELY INTERESTING backstory. I love the show and it will always have a special place in my heart, my favorite indie animated series has finished its journey, thank you Glitch, Liam, the fandom. I study multimedia production/graphic design just to make my own stories whether it be a comic, a video game, a series, an animation, or my highest expectation... a movie. I LOVE YOU ALL. This episode for ME was: -In action: PEAK, we got what we wanted Uzi Vs. Cyn, and the others doing their part too! Nobody just stood there watching, EVERYONE did something. And I always love a creative way to kill an OP villain (I completely forgot Cyn was weak to sunlight too), chaotic and awesome. -In characters: MID, but I’m not gonna complain about that because it’s the final episode so it was all about wrapping everything up, although for a moment V opened up to N, then they ignored that, I thought Uzi would be a bit more serious but in the end he didn’t change much, kinda disappointed, let’s not even talk about J. The music/atmosphere: I CAN’T WAIT FOR THE SOUNDTRACK TO BE RELEASED! -In LORE: DISAPPOINTED! HOW ARE THEY GOING TO LEAVE THE PLOT HOLES UNSOLVED?! UZI ABSORBS CYN AND A DOLL?! (When Uzi collapses after eating Cyn, we get a momentary glimpse of him having the EXACT Doll Vision from ep7, don’t worry guys, Russian Mommy is alive), I thought they were going to explain more about Solver, or Cyn at least, but no… Cyn is just the Villain they have to defeat and nothing more, what a waste. Ugh, I REALLY think the show was going to be more serious, that way it will basically trick viewers who watched the first few episodes into thinking this was going to be a relatively normal show. I’m disappointed because ep7 made me think ep8 was going to be just as dark and serious, but Liam and Glitch have other plans. In the end it was more like Gravity Falls, where it’s funny at first and then it started getting darker and darker, but only that… moments, because in the end the story seems TOO RUSHED. But Murder Drones isn’t like that… or at least, that’s what I thought before, there are so many plot holes that are unresolved, or unexplained or at least they need to be explained more, like the Solver, the Earth massacre, who killed Nori, etc. DAMN IT GLITCH, WHY COULDN’T THE SERIES HAVE 10 EPISODES?! IT’S OBVIOUS THAT YOU JUST WANT TO END ALREADY TO MOVE ON TO SOMETHING ELSE. But hey, at least we have the happy ending that we all want And I think they can do more things, like prequel/side story/sequel mini episodes to balance everything out and at least the story can be complete or at least better told. THANKS TO ALL GLITCH, LIAM AND THE FANDOM, I LOVE YOU ALL. NOW, LET’S GET CRAZY! More Thoughts about Ep8 The main story ended up pretty good, in fact, the more time passes the better my perspective of the episode is, but it's like if a building burned down and you say: "Well, at least the 1st floor and the foundation are okay", but the rest of the place is a mess, that's having "tunnel vision", focusing on just one point and forgetting the rest. Let me ask you a question. Didn't you feel ANYTHING when after two chapters that revolved around finding a cure and Uzi NOT USING HIS POWERS UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, and that maybe N could lose her forever by being possessed, in the end everything was resolved in "Don't be afraid of her" and that's it? Didn't you feel that it was a waste of time and pure unnecessary drama? Gosh, why didn't they say that to Doll for example? The poor girl DIED looking for that cure. I thought Nori would be really worried about Uzi when she found out the cure was destroyed, or that Uzi would now use all his cognitive potential, his friends, and his allies to fight the Solver without his powers, that's what I thought would happen when Uzi appeared in the trailer with his new weapon. Or that maybe they'll show a lot more internal fighting between Uzi and Cyn, that way it wouldn't feel like he's getting off so easy, not to mention that scene where Uzi almost infects Cyn, at what point did he gain so much control as to fight the PLANET DESTROYER internally? IN THE PREVIOUS EPISODE IT POSSESSED YOU WHEN IT HAS THE LEAST CHANCE! Also, I feel like it was an INSULT that the characters weren't affected mentally and psychologically after everything that happened? The closest was when N sees Cyn on the platform and when he's looking for them in the hallway, and V the same, only in the hallway scene. For having come close to death on more than one occasion in just one episode, I think they're doing pretty well.

I know my comment make look like I hate the episode but i'm think the episode was an 8/10, BUT, when I remember is a SERIES FINALE i give it a 6/10, it was just about action but zero lore. All that Drama, horror and lore that I love about the series? GONE, I was just 15 minutes of fights and the LORE was forgotten. Why, WHY?! A little piece of the Lore could pleased me and the rest of the fans that TOOK THE SHOW SERIOUSLY. I know most of the fans love the show, but remember that EVERY fandom has two sides, the casual and the serious, and i'm ALWAYS in the serious part, because I take my likes very seriously, no matter how the rest of the world see it. ¿Kaijus? ¿Mechs? ¿Sy-fy Horror? I TAKE THEM VERY SERIOUSLY. Believe me, the massive comment I write, I put them in KZbin channels (In English and spanish), and reddit and the people that agreed with me, was part of that serious side. Basically, the casual and not so serious part of the fandom (That are the majority) are pleased or at least conform with the ending, but the serious one, who theorize, analize, love every part of the show, is DISSAPOINTED.

Wow, thanks for sharing your opinions on the finale! Granted, I’m not a professional lore solver for Murder Drones but I’ll share my thoughts on some of your questions. The Absolute Solver was somewhat explained in episode 5’s opening with the old VHS tape handed to JC Jenson employees. The Solver program was simply the result of improper disposal of worker drones’ OS units, the VHS never quite explained how to deactivate the OS properly but it does give you the idea that the Solver develops as a result of the OS’s corruption. I guess, it’s safe to say that it’s more of a virus in that regard where it corrupts its host over time and its objective is to feed and consume as much matter in order to make itself grow and develop until everything is null and void. In essence, I think that the Absolute Solver is like the Breathren Moons from Dead Space where consumption is all that it wants. The Solver’s first host was Cyn, and based on context clues, it seems that Cyn was already fully corrupted when she was recovered by Tessa. The Solver experimented with the other worker drones in the Elliot mansion and started assembling her first attempts at the Murder Drones program. After the Gala massacre, it’s likely that Cyn (now in Tessa’s body creating CynTessa), corrupted more drones and ordered the Murder Drones to eliminate humanity as she assimilates the entire planet of Earth. She was successful in this. Prior to Earth’s destruction, a few members of humanity managed to evacuate to other colonies, one of which was Copper-9. I think that I can say that these colonies already existed before the gala massacre? Since there were already so many worker drones on the planet. Humanity attempted to find a cure or patch for the Solver program. As for the cathedral building, yeah it is a bit of an odd setting, I think Liam just wanted a cool setpiece for that episode, it’s more of a joke than anything concrete (I would say just don’t overthink it, and let it just play by the rule of cool). They were successful with Yeva, and eventually with Nori. Although, the Solver managed to eliminate all of the humans on Copper-9 just before Nori was patched. Nori and Yeva soon had families but the Solver knew of their existence, worker drones that had full control over Solver abilities. That simply wouldn’t do, and so the Solver sent the Murder Drones onto Copper-9 to destroy the patched drones and to eliminate any and all potential routes of a patch or cure by targeting the Cabin Fever labs. In short, the cure’s purpose storywise is to act as the Solver’s motivation in going to Copper-9 since it’s one of the few things that can stop it. As for who killed Nori…it doesn’t really matter in the long scheme of things, since she survived (as a heart creature…thing?). Technically, Nori did acknowledge that she was killed by a Murder Drone just before she slapped Uzi in episode 7 but again, it doesn’t matter which Murder Drone it was. In the case of the other Murder Drones, they attempted to infiltrate the Cabin Fever labs, but were foiled by the Sentinels due to their bootloop abilities. This necessitated the intervention of the Solver itself (as CynTessa) but she almost failed because the Sentinels weren’t tricked by the Solver’s Michael Afton impersonation. The company was already destroyed by the time that the Murder Drones were sent onto Copper-9. J and V would’ve known about the truth of everything again based on a few lines from both characters (sorry I can’t mention the specifics, this comment is getting too long). N was kept out of the loop since the Solver was so fond of him or just liked to messed with him. It’s possible that J and V were initially hateful of N (in the first episode) because it’s kind of his fault that they have to exist in perpetual torment of the Solver who simply won’t let them go now. As for Doll, it is a shame that she died, it was meant to up the stakes for the last episode. Since she’s one of the characters with a well-defined personality. As unlike the other worker drones that have died since episode 1 and especially in episode 4, she was an actual character not a prop for action. But, in a narrative sense, it was kind of obvious that one of the key players needed to die before the penultimate episode. That’s my take on some of your questions, I enjoyed answering them to the best of my abilities. Sorry for taking so long to answer, just had to rewatch the show again. I know some of the answers were a bit vague and scattershot so I’m open to any oppositions to my opinions. Thanks for commenting once again!

Whoops, almost forgot to add that what likely happened to Uzi in the end is that because she consumed the Solver's main core, it's safe to say that she has complete control over the Solver's personality now. Or...maybe not? As she appears to be exhausted by the end of the credits. I can only guess that she's fighting off the urges that comes with now being the Solver herself. But it's far too soon for me to speculate. I agree with you on the fact that Nori should've been more worried about the fact that only cure for her daughter was destroyed at the start of episode 8. I guess she's just trying to get her daughter through it by making it look as simple as just be brave. I do think that Uzi did overcome her fears by the fact that N, V, Nori, Thad, Lizzy, and her dad were by her side during the finale battle (though yeah the show could've really took it's time to drive home the importance of these characters to Uzi herself). As for TADC affecting the potential of MD season 2, I'm not quite sure. Since MD is an indie production, and a single season took 3 years to complete, I wouldn't be surprised if Liam, over time, just got tired of it. Gooseworks (don't quote me on this) on their Tumblr account has commented that Liam and the team just needs some well deserved rest. Plus with Glitch's upcoming Gaslight District, resources might be spread thin so it would've been the right time to let Murder Drones cool off. Though if Glitch did want to revist MD again in the far future, Liam and the team left the door open for that potential with the cliffhanger. And that's my thoughts on that.

I agree with all you wrote, the last episode wasnt bad but it felt WAY to rushed, I feel they just threw away the two chapters about the struggle to not get infected, I would have loved that in the fight scene Cyn had tried to control Uzi in the middle of the fight or something like that, i wouldnt care if they could make us wait more time for the chapter by making the fight scene a lil bit larger mostly putting how Uzi is struggling to not succumb to the absolute solver, also, i hate that they left us with so many things uncovered, they can make a season II about trying to look at the other systems searching for the source of the absolute solver, a perfect way to know more about the lore

@@Tacrepyh Glitch can definitely make a second season if they wanted to. Though I think they're going to explore other ways to tell that story for now. The source of the Absolute Solver is made a bit clear in Episode 5 : Home in the opening VHS scene. The Absolute Solver is simply the result of an improperly disposed Worker Drone's OS being corrupted. But yeah, even that answer is a bit vague.
