On the evening of February 21, 1977, Chicago firefighters responded to a call at the Pine Grove apartment complex. Once they’d extinguished the fire, they discovered the nude body of forty-eight-year-old Teresita Basa with a kitchen knife protruding from her chest. The apartment looked as though it had been ransacked during the commission of what they assumed was a sexual assault or robbery gone wrong. With little evidence or leads to work from, Teresita’s murder investigation quickly went cold.
But then five months later, it seemed like it was Teresita herself who led investigators to discover the man who murdered her. What followed was a truly sensational investigation and trial where not only murder, but belief was up for debate.

This story sound so familiar, it reminded me of a lifetime movie I saw years ago call Voices from the Grave: the Terry Deveroux Story. I looked it out and it is based on Teresita’s life story. How crazy. Just sad.

I can tell you right now what happened and why Allen suddenly pleaded guilty to everything and the murder got swept off the table: Quick question: he was in prison the whole time he waited for court right? My theory is while he was locked up, he wasn’t haunted or anything, he overheard or was told something by another MVP inmate about their trial that he knew would be of interest to anyone who would give him a second to listen. So he didn’t sit them down to plead guilty, he sat down the lawyers and the judge to basically say “I know something you don’t know” about another high priority case. It explains why he did the minimum 4 years and why the murder disappeared. The officials involved listened to what he had to say, took a breath and said “here’s what you’re gonna do: you’re gonna plead guilty to this and this and this and get this, it’s the best I can offer”. Not exactly a “plea deal” more like a “snitch deal”.

I was enjoying this show until the BS levels got above knee height and all the stupid ghost stories you want to believe came to surface. Highly recommend maybe checking out a show like the skeptics guide to the universe and take a break from non critical thinking. The last two shows are totally moronic nonsense

@xx4248 You can have your opinion, But you don't need to be so critical or say The Negative Things YOU DID! HONESTLY, YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOUR TALKING ABOUT. YOU CAN GO WATCH YOUR GHOST STORIES. THESE ARE TRUE STORIES, GOOD CONTENT AND THEIR BANTOR IS FABULOUS!

Agreed @kimberlyelton9604, they are telling the story. @xx4248, if you do not like the paranormal side of it go watch somewhere else..they are giving the facts..if you didn't like it there is a next button for a reason..use it without being a jerk!!
