I don't own hardware seqs so I rely on Stepic and sometimes Animation Station for more strange arpeggios and sequences

my favourite software sequencers, at the moment, are Hive followed by Pigments I installed Stochas as recommended by you last year but I found that I hardly used it because Hive and Pigments are so good watching this though makes me think I need to have a look at a few more software options...

Stochas. It's polyphonic which is absolutely mental for a free sequencer. Only complain is the horrendous UI...

slaps down a couple plugins, fiddles with a few knobs for a few seconds, effortlessly envelops us in a wash of liquid ambience like it ain't no thing.

I gotta say, man. This channel has slowly become my favorite music tutorial channel. It's inspiring me not only musically, but to get the rubber to hit the road on my own channel. It's time. Thank you, bro.

For those curious about the key change: Db is the fourth scale degree of Ab natural minor (Aeolian) and making that the root makes for an easy switch to Db Dorian mode using the same notes (also minor, and almost the same scale, differing only on the sixth degree).

Hey, reckon you could do a tutorial on the Serum preset you used here? It's rather beautiful!!

Many thanks Chris, you continue to impress with these excellent tutorials! I'll definitely be getting Stepic (using your affiliate link of course) at some point. It seems like a must-have plugin to me, even for those working in other genres.

I kept thinking the original steptic pattern would be ruined if you added a detune, and I am now curious how that could still work. Great artistry yet again!

Have you ever tried Arturia Beatstep Pro? BTW, what Ableton skin is that? It looks great! You really seem to enjoy making and finding sounds and melodies.

Hey at 2:48 I think you are sending the channel to a send? Is there a video of the chain/setup you are using there?
@s1gns0fl1fe2 жыл бұрын
Check out the recent video on my channel for the "Utility" template for Ableton Live. My favorite effects to have on send are Valhalla Room and Delay.

Great video, very inspirational. Watching you enjoy the fruits of your labour in the last 30 seconds is how I listen to a lot of this genre. Love it!
