I absolutely adore the P4G soundtrack and listened to it a dozen times, but I'm not familiar with all the names for the songs. So when I looked up which song was called "Who's there?" to find out if it's really that bad, I almost spit out my drink when I found it. Who's there? can be genuienly unsettling at times, but the fact it gets used so much for almost anything slightly out of the ordinary makes it more of a meme-song at this point haha

It's a real shame Persona's original soundtrack doesn't show up at all, and it's only the remake which changed the music style entirely and sacrificed 3/4ths of the soundtrack. Each character used to have their own themes! The PSP remake took them all out and re-used the same tracks for multiple locations and dungeons. Even the Aria of the Soul composition between the two versions are quite different, including a piano solo that is now removed from the current incarnation from 3-onwards.

Persona 1 music is incredible and basically a synth-electronic 90s game masterpiece. PSP remake seems to have totally butchered the vibe, which was unabashedly dark.

The Post P4 Years were a magical time. Forums were still going strong and Twitter had yet to become mainstream, so things like the P5 Imagining Project could go unnoticed. It took a little while for people to realize what it was exactly, but it drummed up so much excitement at the time. “Look at how good Rise looks! Who’s the dude on all of the art? Why is this song such a banger?!”

I had shivers when you spoke about Persona 5 Vanilla music. My bf got Royal this year and he’s adoring it and i want to play it next but im scared about the changes in terms of music. Vanilla’s music was soooo iconic! On another note, if i had a persona it would be Courtney, The Sapphic Content Creator Qween and my strongest skill would be Born This Way which would enact a cultural reset everytime it’s used ingame.

You just hit a pet peeve of mine. When you were talking about "revelations persona" you were referring to the PSP remake "shin megami tensei persona" which had completely different music from the original. The originals soundtrack was much more like the persona 2 duology. It's a common mistake so I can't be too mad but for an essay video to have something so incorrect and so il researched is a little frustrating P.S. how I be lookin rn 🤓 Edit: if it helps understand a little easier theres a really good battle theme compilation by ikprodextra that helps differentiate the two. The PSP remake of persona 1 came out after persona 3 so the music is similar wheras the original came out back in 1996, that's why it's such a big oopsie to me.

I love persona music in general, I agree , some can be skipped , but a lot of rootin tootin blasting bangers as well . Itowai dorm (OG) , Beneath the mask , and signs of love are the main jams though , cant listen to them without physical motion being applied 😂
