Imagine this sound contained in a small club .. those of us lucky enough to experience it were forever changed from then on .. raw power 👌

Saw them at the Joiners around 2002 totally blew my mind... One of a kind
@markbannister53354 жыл бұрын
@lost souls absolutely, Rob Harvey as a front man definitely had that Ashcroft/Brown as sure you'd agree...managed to see them again after Joiners supporting Charlatans in Bristol...least we have the records left (tbf Rob is decent in DOT with Mike Skinner)...
@markbannister53354 жыл бұрын
@lost souls that's crazy to think the amount of talent in those young guys! That footage of them playing The People at Fuji festival...so emotional when Rob speaks to the crowd. Definitely agree with the bands & vibe around at that time...I've been fortunate enough to experience stuff through early nineties to present. Just hope that gigs restart soon eh! Thanks so much for the Adam Nutter info I'll take a look for sure
@markbannister53354 жыл бұрын
@lost souls yeah hoping so too...was definitely a good period when The Music emerged...I'm off to listen to their eps again. Cheers!
@markbannister53354 жыл бұрын
@lost souls no way, definitely keep an eye out for that then if it happens...I did see a bit about DOT & Stuart the bassist was doing a session with them...do you know what happened to their drummer?
@markbannister53354 жыл бұрын
@lost souls absolutely I'd definitely pay good money to see them play again...need to get into the later stuff as only ever listened to the 1st record & eps etc...do think the single Drugs is up there with anything on the 1st LP.

This band's Music has aged like fine wine. There's a drought of this kind of young, confident, and infectious talent in today's music culture. Now, we have bands like Greta Van Fleet blatantly ripping off Led Zeppelin, all the while bands like The Music have been channeling their inspiration of Zep and others to create something fresh and inspiring, and truly their own.
