I must say I missed Genesis live back in the day and always regretted it. I saw this band at The Keswick Theatre in Philly. As soon as the last note faded I turned to my friend and said, I finally saw Genesis, so perfect was the sound and performance!

Wayne Dent, I have seen both. The Musical Box are spot-on accurate, but with better technology and sound!

The Musical Box is NOT a 'tribute band'... "They have taken a 'period' and have faithfully reproduced it onstage... similar to a theatrical production" says Phil Collins. I've personally seen TMB 6 times, in San Fran, San Diego, L.A., Chicago... the Lamb show in Chicago was nothing less than a stunning concert... AMAZING! TMB will be coming Thur Southern California next month doing the Selling England show... can't wait to go!

Joe Assmus, you ain't kidding! It is a time machine! I've seen them do The Lamb and the Selling England tours!

Saw the "Extravaganza" show in Lisbon, October 2018. After that, I have to express my deepest gratitude for what I was offered, as well as to regret myself for not having seen them before. It is quite an experience. Unforgettable!

Have seen them many times, mainly when Martin Levac was on drums as he is here. At one show he stepped forward to sing More Fool Me and someone in the audience shouted out "It's Phil!". Without a moment's hesitation he replied, "You must need glasses"

Musical Box donne un spectacle absolument intense, une recréation de GENESIS des plus fidèle. Le spectacle à Québec en janvier 2010 nous a fait vivre un moment innoubliable. Genesis en spectacle !!!!!! A Voir !!!!!

I think that the best part of this song is not the famous Hackett's solo, but the work of Rutherford, who, at the beginning, plays the bass line with his instrument and then he uses the Moog bass pedal (more powerfull than the normal bass guitar), while he plays the 12 strings. Pure genius!

Best Genesis tribute I've yet heard. My only critical comment is that the guitar and drums are under-mixed and the drums sound is mush. But that has nothing to do with the band.

In 2002, they played the whole of 'Selling England by the Pound' at the Royal Albert Hall. It was magical. They began with Watcher of the Skies and finished with The Knife. Then Steve Hackett joined them for an encore Firth of Fifth.

The very best Thing with TMB is, that they made Collins and Genesis play those old songs again on tour, After Phil sat in at Geneve and realized what a tresure they wrote in the early days. As i remember he said After the rehearsals, that TMB played better than Genesis... And then he Said: "But we wrote the Songs" ;)

This tribute band is fantastic but I have have discovered another band whose lead singer is so close to Peter Gabriel it is quite staggering.......The group is from Argentina and their name is GENETICS [Ex RAEL]..All Genesis fans must check them out!!! Dare I say it they are even better than this lot if that was possible!!! They have many utube videos to see

Probably the best tribute band there is. The sound of the drums needs to be a little more refined and perfected to match the original or maybe it was this recording. The audio is low anyway.
@SolarMusicZ13 жыл бұрын
wooow, the drummer looks like Phil. Great show... I've seen them doing a trick of a tail and stuff and was very disappointed. The sound was terrible. But the musicians are not to blame.

as a musician for the last 40 years...bass , drum, guitar, keys.....i think they're good.....and also knowing that 50 % of the crowd are probably musicians,,,,,,if they were so bad, they hadn't last 25 years
