I saw them years ago play the Lamb Lies Down show and Levac was on drums. I agree with you about his resemblance to Phil. That was an amazing friggin show!!! Levac is still, by far, the best drummer I have ever seen live. He was the best musician in the band, I felt.

Agreed! I saw them twice in London, doing the lamb and Selling England era shows. On selling england, and they had Martin Levac on drums, who not only bears a striking resemblance to a younger Phil and plays lefty (of course), but even had the Houndslow accent down to a tee when doing a little talky bit at the beginning of "More Fool Me", which he nailed vocally. Amazing attention to detail.

I have seen TMB twice now...do youselfs a BIG favor and go see them. There is a reason Mr. Steve Hackett and Mr. Phil Collins play'd with them: they are perfect !

Actually, when they did the four man era (A Trick Of The Tail tour) they got another drummer to dress up exactly like the lead singer and they would actually switch places behind stage when "Phil" would go back to the drum kit. And when it was time for him to sing behind the drums, the original lead singer would just sing from backstage and the drummer would lip sync. And the "Bill Bruford" they got for that tour is actually the drummer in this video. His name is Gregg Bendian.

There a quite a few Genesis tribute bands doing the stuff from this period I suppose. But you have to be a serious tribute band if your lead singer goes as far as using PG's hairstyle from that period as well! Absolutely brilliant!

unbelievable musicianship and authenticity, the attention to detail and dedication is inspirational but they seem almost too polished to an eerie quality. I suppose Genesis had this eerie quality though. I can't believe the levels they went to to keep everthing as authentic as possible. The singer learnt drums when they begun on the four man era of Genesis and he became Phil. They even hired a 'Bruford' for seconds out tours, even though he only worked with the band for a short period.
