Very few Italian artists had a major impact on the international scene, especially during in the 50's. Renato Carosone created a special blend of swing, jazz and traditional music from Naples together with the amazing lyrics by Nisa topping the charts all around the world, which still today everybody sings and knows. Let's discover his story and his greatest tunes through some original 45's!

Thank you for showing us this brilliant artist. My dad was from Naples and when I was growing up as a child in Montreal Canada he made me discover Carosone by playing an old vinyl album from the late 50’s with all his greatest hits. I still have the album today. I always enjoyed his music. Thanks again! 🙏

I just played this for my 77-year-old mother-in-law and she loved it. She’s from Calabria and grew up with these songs and sang them as a child. And as an Italian American, I eat this stuff up. I just ordered the CD. please do more of this type of content. Great video.

Moreicone is one of my favorites. Make sure to pick up the Sergio Leone movies soundtracks, then ones where Clint Eastwood got famous.

Love this tribute, I recognise the song which sounds famiilar from 2010 , worldwide hit or sampled for some artist , I enjoy digging into artists from that era, some songs sound great from this era even on 78RPM,

You have done some great episodes supporting your countrymen ( the Mastersound preamp for example which I bought on your recommendation), but this one beats them all! Fantastic, CD ordered. Keep up the good work.

I love this kinda stuff. I always pick up any records from countries/cultures when i find them. Sometimes they are complete gems but always interesting. I have at least one of these and have heard most. I would much rather play a marginal 45 then a CD. Who says Tor?
