The local market-Pasar Payang, KT drawbridge, Chinatown, Seberang Takir across the river. Marang-Pulau Kekabu Beach, Kapas/Cotton Island, Perhentian Island-turtles, Redang Island-diving. Tinggol Island in Dungun-diving. There's also a small scale of gold mining in KT-private, to name a few. Local delicacies, nasi dagang Berkat-Gong Pipit a must, kerepok-fish sausage, rojak ayam, nasi lemak-Tgg with tuna fish, Ikan celup tepung-fish, seafood in batter, satar- grilled fish & coconut wrapped Inn banana leaf, rojak katih etc... Hope you have a wonderful trip here in Tgg... you might find people in Tgg do not converse in English as much. It's because we were unfederated malay state(not under British rule)

@faisalzaid47523 ай бұрын
East Coast states are a bit nuanced and very localized you really need to explore to see the gem of the place due to lack of tourism infrastructure. Most tourists and tour operators skipped the city and jump straight to the islands. Even though the state of Terengganu is wealthy from oil revenue, it's been neglected by successive federal governments including British colonial times that only focused the wealth and development on the West Coast states. Normally Terengganu is a maritime state, the people used to be seafarers, fishermen and good craftsmen and shipbuilders.

He served as Leader of the Opposition from July 2002 to March 2004, Menteri Besar of Terengganu from December 1999 to March 2004 and Member of the Terengganu State Legislative Assembly (MLA) for Ru Rendang from 1986 until 2018. Dude you gotta find a local to teach you how to eat rice with your hands. The first and most important rule is to wash your hands with soap every restaurant will have a handwashing station with soap. Second you use all your fingers try to limit the amount to the first digit of your finger maybe a little more but do not get past 2nd digit. Third do not lift your head up when eating bow your head down and scoop the food up and use your thumb to push the food in. By the way that thing she pointed to is pickled garlic and the egg is salted duck eggs. The pepper has stuffed fish cake in it. The rice maybe blue dyed with butterfly pea flower called bunga telang (altho some of them cheat and use blue food coloring you can tell because it looks neon blue instead of natural darker navy blue from the flower).

@10demas3 ай бұрын
Since when Britain give malay states to Thailand, are you nut?
@DurainMontong3 ай бұрын
That kind of doesnt make any sense. More like their co operation in using their land for friendly ties and alliance as the rest of south asia was hostile to the occupation. You will later see this well documented later when the western allies launched their assault on loas and vietnam using thailand as their vessal station.
@am.m.62953 ай бұрын
While this does hold some truth, the west part of south Thailand (Satun) are more loyal to Thailand due to their Sultan pledging loyalty to the Thai monarchy rather than the Sultan of Kedah, which led to that area being more proud of being Thai than identifying as Malay. Even within the Malay world, the East Coast (Kelantan, Terengganu) are heavily culturally intertwined with the Southeast part of Thailand (Narathiwat, Yala, and Pattani). Places like Nakhon Si Thammarat and Hatyai are too disconnected from the Malay world despite being in the Malay archipelago, and the majority of muslims / ethnic Malays there prefer to call themselves kon Thai (Thai People) more than anything else.
