One thing about PennState, they learn from loses. The offense got embarrassed at OSU and the defense got a little egg on the face against Oregon. I expect the defense to make a statement like the offense has after the Ohio State game. Penn State 38-10

HC JF needs more team discipline to win this game. in the OSU and OR games, we had too much over celebrating, "first down arrow," not focusing on the next play. Plus 15-yard penalties, off sides, and false starts.

People have been saying Penn State has the easiest first game in the play offs. I think the exact opposite, in that they have one of the hardest match ups. Much rather be playing Clemson, Indiana, etc.

SMU: OL is very suspect against pass rushes QB can make bad decisions and is innacurate at times. Inconsistency in playing dynamic DBs are very susceptible to RPOs, play action, and switch/cross type routes DL is stout in the middle, slow on the edges Keys for PSU victory: Clock control Run game (especially outside zone, toss crack, etc edge rushes*) Establishing play action pass and RPOs i expect to see Beau more in this game. Pick routes, rubs and crosses down field Force PI Fast start Score off turnovers in multiples of 6s Limit offensive turnovers (take shots on plus side of field) Defense Pressure Qb Blitz Stop the run Tackling in space Disciplined coverage and man assignment for scrambling. Be ready for 2nd half. Good SMU coaching at the half

@@JakeEngen he played well. They just didn’t throw him the ball enough. Both teams wanted to prove themselves running the ball and that’s why it was such a low scoring game. I hate when coaches change what works well for them cuz of who their opponent is

SMU being undisciplined with penalties and the ball mean they will come in and not turn it over and commit no penalties. It’s a weird trend with Penn State, they seem to let teams break tendencies.

Defense is really undisciplined at tackling, man assignments and pass communication backside. Not to mention penalties in obvious rushing situations. Been like that all year and a consistent theme. Easy for offenses to take advantage of

smu's defense is really good at picking passes 15 interceptions on the season spread out among most of their defensive players not just one single player. Watch Penn state's QB has a tendency to be risky with his throws .this even match game don't thank it be a blow out by either team .

Everyone is talking weather. Yes, it will be a huge factor. SMU hasn't seen weather like this, well...ever. The WhiteOut can not be underestimated, it will play a big part. The running game for Penn State is peeking and if that goes well, look out for the Warren show! FYI - real feel of 14 at game time. They are clearing snow off the field now.

Your preview suggests that this game could be a 3 and 3/4 hour slop fest filled with 200 penalty yards, six turnovers, 30 incomplete passes and a dozen "injury" timeouts between the two teams. I'm glad i'll be inside watching the tv instead of being outside at the Beav,

Im an SMU fan but PSU will win this handily because of the weather and the home field advantage. If this was played on a sunny day on a neutral field spread would likely be even.

If you look at their schedule, outside of Clemson and BYU, it was a very weak, pathetic ACC teams. As for Clemson and BYU, yes, they are good teams, but I believe Penn State is better and would beat both of them. I don't believe BYU and Clemson could hang with Oregon the way Penn State did. It won't be a blowout game, but Penn State is a better team overall and will win.

Think Penn state handles them easily. Nobody talking about the refs ? Watching big 10 all year and hardly any penalties are called. This could be a whines thing for Penn state
