Yeah Synch has been revived in the recent Hickman's run of Dawn of X. Synch along with X-23 and Darwin where sent inside that portal where those hyper advanced beings reside.(I know they were created by 1610 Reed Richards)

That's one of the main reasons why I can't stand Hope Summers. because she's basically a gender-swap whitewash version of sync. Marvel/ DC can make all these white characters have overpowered or extremely combat capable children. But refuse to do the same with their black characters. He is one of my favorite characters of all time! So much potential, yet cut down in his prime and in such a crappy way. I do remember back when Gen X came out, his power set is as you said, that he had access to all power sets within his vicinity, to their maximum level, BUT, he had no experience with them. I remember he accessed chambers powers to fly, but truly didn't know what he was doing. I agree though, he's definitely one of, if not the strongest there is. That's why they sent him off with Wolverine and Darwin into the vault. They're not only the only ones who'd survive it, but also could potentially be a bigger threat to whatever Xavier and Moira have planned. I mean, how do you stop just the pair of Synch and Darwin alone in a fight. One evolves to counter your powers immediately, the other copies your powers immediately and to their max level. That's game over man!

It is not that Sync can not syncronize with physical abilities, It is that those abilities are transferred as physical or concussive strength for his aura. A hulk like being allows Sync to create strong attacks with his aura. The stronger the physical mutation, the stronger the his aura is when he lashes out with it.

You should do a video on Miranda. She's a mutant from (Earth-TRN656), and she's far more powerful than even Franklin Richards. She basically has control over all of Marvel's continuity. She’s responsible for all the retcons, revisions, reboots, resurrections, the floating timeline etc. She's been shaping and maintaining the continuity of the world (at least) since the 60’s. She's so powerful that Beast literally created a whole new classification for her, referring to her as an Omicron level mutant

I used to call him Apotheos, because Synch had the potential to be the apotheosis for all superhuman abilities -- mutant and otherwise. He didn't have to be a "carbon copy" of Mimic, Rogue, the Super Adaptoid, Omega (Michael Pointer) or any of the countless other characters who replicate powers. He could have taken on an almost Korvac-like ability. As where Korvac's initial power was merely to synthesize all forms of energy, even magic, Synch's power to synchronize all powers into something synergistically unique could have set him above and beyond the run of the mill heroes. In some ways that would make him OP, but no more so than characters like Thor, Hulk, Sentry, Scarlet Witch, Monica Rambeau, Franklin Richards, Phoenix and others. They are OP-inclined, but not always OP-engaged. Writing characters like that isn't as difficult as some people make it out to be.

Synch is alive again, his setback to his power is(like Hope)for now is that over time the power fades. Rogue and the Mimic also has this problem/weakness , maybe the brain on a subconscious level prevents the brain, body, person to on more power than it's capable of handling safely. Synch was resurrected and he is currently alive in the new rebooted X-Men. Synch is a back-up for the resurrection group if one of the 5 is killed or incapacitated. Synch is a great character but right now he does have limits. Currently, he only has powers if someone within his vicinity has powers. Also, he is unable to hold on to the powers permanently. It has been stated that with practice he could hold onto the powers but it doesn't seem to be the case now. He's a great character and I wish they would develop him more. For us to get more of this character, he will need to be added to one of the X-titles on a regular basis.

In the 90’s Xforce had an enemy called Guideon that had the same mutant abilities but I think they killed him off. It was either Xforce or the new warriors. I think that the only way to fight him was to not have any mutant abilities and that’s where Night Thrasher (also a black character) was able o fight Guideon. I may be confusing story lines but I do remember Guideon not being able to sync to Night Thrasher’s powers because he had none.

Thanks for posting this. I had no idea Synch existed. Ill have to say though that Disney is giving Monica Rambeu some light in WandaVision. I'm hoping and praying we begin to start seeing some more heroes of color rise up. The OG X-Men team is played out imo. I doubt we'll ever see Synch or Blue Marvel in a film unfortunately, but I think the success of Black Panther may have turned the tides a little for giving heroes of color more representation.

The second problem I have with how they treat it sink is that as you mentioned they got rid of them and killed him off real cheaply the first time and then created Hope Summers who has a similar power set to him and then they're constantly hyping Hope Summers up as is she's an alpha level mutant or excuse me and Omega level mutant but they never list him being sink as an Omega level mutant and on top of his ability to copy anyone else's powers he's also within his same range omnipotent. There is no other mutant that is omnipotent not even destiny. And they're constantly playing that down.

Your wrong about Synch absorbing physical abilities. Because if you go back to the begging of the formation of Generation X. When they were fighting the Phalanx, Synch was on teams with Sabertooth, I think this is when Sabertooth was a member of X-force and during their time together. Synch Body size double becoming massive like Sabertooth. Even when he was not around him.

I'm not exactly sure if there is any correlation or nefarious reason behind Marvel killing Synch off and then creating Hope with his abilities. He died in the early 2000's and Hope was created in 2007. If Marvel really wanted to white wash a character I doubt they would have waited 7 years or so before doing it. Synch's experience and knowledge of his synchronistic aura is what makes him greater than Hope when he "synchs up" with other mutants. His resurrection currently proves he goes beyond only retaining powers for a limited time. He is currently considered Omega Level and should be officially classified soon.

So much so that I stopped reading comics when they killed him off, especially in that ridiculous manner. I had hoped at some point they would resurrect Everett, but not as Synch. As something more, complete with a new nom de guerre. And I wanted them to establish that his copying or synchronization of powers and abilities was merely the infancy stages of a greater power. When they reintroduced Everett, it would be as a grown man with his vast powers also in mature, Omega level form.

While it is BS that they replaced his role potential with Hope Summers ... The fact that he needs a conduit to access any of these powers automatically degrades his caliber. Even Owen has his limitations, but his max potential isn’t locked behind any doors. Even in the original Secret Wars storyline that saw him realizing his capacity; dude had been Capable the whole time, with no need for conduits

One other thing... since they are reviving a multitude of mutants good and bad. Has Bedlam's brother been brought back? Also, I don't know about many others but the death of the two black siblings at the beginning of the X-Men Graphic Novel: God Loves, Man Kills X-Men traumatized me as a kid. Have they been brought back?

Protege had powers kind of like this but all he need do see some use there powers and he would have them. Living tribunal shut him down fast.. I see where your coming from but til. I see it happen I feel this subjective at best. By the way iam new here..

I can't really fade power copying as a power. Especially if they maintain these other character's powers. It's clear they avoided him for no good reason though, basically just burying blacks. Being OP gets you written off. The sweet spot is to be powerful but to fit in with the fictional universe. Off the charts characters are harder to use.

Now this is something I’ve been waiting on for years. Somebody finally giving my man, Synch, his due props. We know why they killed him off. Can’t have a black man that strong. Cause there would be literally nothing he couldn’t do. Then you throw in how the X-men train and the possibility of secondary mutations. This man could end up being peak level human physicality then the ability to take your power and use it better. They actually had another character like this known as “Protoge”. He was literally Cosmic Level strong. They had to write a straight God-mod and make the Living Tribunal absorb this man into its being in order to stop him. So they already knew what “Endgame Synch” would be capable of. But as you stated, they do this with so many of our black character, yet and still, they create them and give them powers that are always OFF THE CHARTS. Storm, Brother Voodoo, Blue Marvel, Spectrum, Prodigy, Bishop, Apocalypse (technically), and so many more.

Hope’s powers are a watered down version of syncs . Sync is way more powerful than her he could’ve been the most powerful being alive.

They also have no telepathic Black mutants. They don’t want to broach that field. Basically they did something “close” to it when Emma was part of the Phoenix Five and she went after the man who killed a mutant with his car and let the mutant die. If they had a powerful telepathic mutant, especially in the past 6 years, could you imagine the stories they would be tasked to write. #HireBlackWriters

Sync is alive but like you said, currently he kind of got written out for the time being. Also I believe he is a backup for the five should something happen to them (Forgot where I read that.). Edit: I think Darwin was the one not sync.
