Theory: it was a human replica of a tomb stalker. Pre-strife humans could find necrons arriving on medusa and with the technology they could try to restore/recreate it for their own purpose. This wyrm could be a human experiment with necron technology. The other necrons may be defeated by the pre-strife humans (the earthquakes may be an aftereffect of a planetwide mass destruction weapon) and the humans built a planetwide research center around the recovered necron technology.

It was never meant to be a weapon. Just a kind of living display piece. Could explain also why it was locked away in a vault that could be so easily accessed. @@danielavalsangiacomo6691 Necrons themselves are not psychic, that is correct. In fact that's part of why they lost the first half of the War in Heaven. The C'Tan ARE psychic creatures however. And of these "star gods", Magladroth the Void Dragon was the most powerful and said to be the one that gave Necrontyr the technology to become Necrons. I don’t think Asirnoth is a true story. I believe it’s a story that others made up to explain Ferrus Manus’ arms, and Ferrus Mannus just went along with the story. In the Novel “Ferrus Manus: Gorgon of Medusa”, a medicae says to Ferrus that he does not believe the story. Ferrus replies: “A pity, that one was my favourite”. It seems to me that Ferrus is saying that Asirnoth is the favourite of the made up stories that explain Ferrus’ hands.

While that is a good point, the 8th edition Iron Hands codex supplement (page 9) states that any Iron Hands who fail the chapter must journey into the lands of shadow to obtain a shard/scale of the Asirnoth to regain the trust of his brothers, and that over the past ten thousand years only a handful of battle brothers returned in triumph. The fact that some Iron Hands were able to obtain a piece of the Asirnoth would suggest that the Asirnoth's "corpse" is out there still, adding credence to the tale about Ferrus Manus killing it.
@thehungrygerman94345 жыл бұрын

@@atilax6452 you should watch Remleiz xeno biology videos. Basicly every second or third xeno creature which can be found as local fauna on every planet somehow have ties to the tyranids. And because of that fact the community meme grew that everything when in doubt is just successor of a protonid^^ It's pretty hilarious because basicly every wild animal somehow is a tyranid based creature in it's earliest form xD
