I think that what this data shows is that it is impossible to specifically attribute current populations to specific tribes mentioned in Genesis. The time-lag is just too great. It is clear that over more than 20 generations in any contiguous land area inhabited by humans, every single person in the current generation will be descended from at least one person in the original tribes, and if you go back another 5 or 6 generations from that person, then every person in those tribes who has living descendants now will be an ancestor of every single living person in that area today. Unfortunately, too many people take a fanciful "ancestry" and apply that imagined link to a past culture to present relations with other groups who are their neighbours today. Every Saudi, Jew and "palestinian arab" is almost 100% likely to have many common ancestors in every group mentioned in Genesis as a descendant of Abraham.
