Agreed, you don't pick up rubies in this game or Legend of Zelda. In Zelda you pick up Rupees. ^_^

Played through this on Switch for the first time. It’s really really good still today, so back then it would have been even better

True, it really was!

I got this game on my 3ds but I remember takamaru from smash 4, I was always curious in his origns, he had much potential if only Nintendo gave him and his game More attention

I actually own this on 3DS (The Virtual Console release)! I know I could just emulate it, but I liked the idea of having it natively on my 3DS, especially as a little piece of Nintendo history. :P

As an addendum to this video, there's a Murasame Castle mode in the Wii title Samurai Warriors 3. The main character of this game is also an assist trophy in Super Smash Brothers, but was very nearly playable. Mostly sidelined, but not forgotten.

It has been added to the Nintendo Switch Online recently and I try it. It was fun, I liked it. I didn't finish it but probably I will do it some day. It's curious how well aged. It's still playable today, for a Nes game of course. I feel it like a mix of adventure and Galaxian like games.

I missed out on what they call the "NES era" thanks to our Atari 2600 being durable enough to last for 10 years (1982-1992), but I wasn't that impressed with what I managed to see of it from a neighbor who had one (the _Back to the Future_ games and _Final Fantasy 1_ )... might have been because he was 8 to 10 and couldn't play RPGs that well.

Except for not owning a Switch... I wish they'd bring back the games from the Super Nintendo, like they did with the Wii Virtual Console.
