Chronic pain is a lifetime of misery. Medications, operations, and other painful procedures that don't work, or if they help last for only days. It destroys finances, careers and relationships.

Nursed a guy with chronic head pain caused by a motor bike crash bashing his head in. His wife lived with the consequences too, together they tried everything including hypnotherapy but nothing worked so they learned to live with it. Felt so bad for both of them they were so lovely and life had been turned upside down.

It's sad, but most marriages fail when one partner has chronic pain.. People don't understand because like mental health illness there's no bandage or blood to see.

I have cronic pain and fatigue, and it has caused me so much misery.

Chronic pain sucks so much. Sickle cell anemia is worse than my fibromyalgia in that it can be fatal. I am happy that she is in remission, but sad that she still has chronic pain. I too would not wish my pain on any other person, not even my worst enemy.
