In the last few years, there have been many different colours of Super Saiyan showing up! From Super Saiyan God to Super Saiyan Rose, it's all there. However, I and a fan of mine have potentially found a theory that might explain these hair colours as well as predicting future transformations. Let's discuss Super Saiyan Colour Theory including how relevant it might to the new God of Destruction Vegeta and Vegeta New Form! #supersaiyan #theory

True dat Humans have lots of hair colors to be born with, and darker colors are dominant over the light ones, but larger varieties are also dominant over smaller ones, so even if black hair is dominant over blue/purple, if black is the only option, then the choice of blue, brown, purple, or even blonde is still dominant because 4 is more than 1

Well then Super Saiyan 4 actually works quite well, the fur is red since the quote you read has "Primitive power" in the first chakara, Goku even says he doesn't have as much control in that form. Plus the Black hair denotes malice. Red hair in the Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta's version is also good primitive

As an artist, I can clue you in on the real meaning behind the colors: Black - "Black is super useful in breaking up character designs, and most people have black hair. Eh... they all have black hair. Fuck it." Yellow - "Ugh, I don't want to waste time shading in hair anymore." Red - "Gonna do a new form... blue is a bit too soft looking. Ain't doin' green... red is okay. It looks threatening and strong." Blue - "I'm running out of these colors. White? No, I'm going to use that for that Zamasu design... Purple and Green are too weird. I guess blue is fine." Pink - "Well, he's a god, so he wouldn't look the same as they do. And he's so sassy and obsessed with beauty. I could make it red again, since Goku looked like that when he got god ki. No... Oh! I'll just make it pink." Black again - "This is getting out of hand. I'll just let everyone else handle most of this. Hey guys, just roll back to black hair! Everything is ki types now! I'm going to bed." But seriously, all this is fan jargon. I figure Vegeta's new form at the end of DBS, the Super Saiyan Blue Evolution, would land somewhere between the blue and indigo chakras. It makes sense, since the indigo represents imagination, and we have no idea what that form's limits are, but it's also still rooted in blue, as an evolution of SSGSS. I get that the colors of SSGSS and SSGSSE are iffy, and the deep cerulean hue of the latter used to belong to the former, which is now more turquoise, but maybe that's just a ret-con. Mastered to a point of being usable. Remember that all the way back in the Saiyan saga of DBZ Goku was exhausted using just the 2x and the 3x and 4x combined into the Super Kamehameha effectively crippled him for the remainder of the fight. But then in the fight between the two universes, he was able to push the kaioken MUCH further, though due to the lack of experience in that level, Goku again ended up crippled and for even longer this time. I expect that the same with his initial experience with becoming a Super Saiyan God increasing his base power level even after the transformation had expired would be very much the same; after using the Super Saiyan Blue and the Kaioken at the same time to the extent he did, I imagine that made the lower levels of the combination much less significantly straining on his body.

Here's what I think, based on speculation alone. I think Goku will need to achieve the color purple because it seems that all the Gods of Destruction have that as their aura color. When they do the "Hakai" move it is especially obvious. Being that it seems all the GoD's have it, for Goku to level up he will need that aura. If you think of his max now: SSB + Kaioken, it sort of makes sense. If you blend Red + Blue together I believe you get purple. So his max or unleashed/limit break power may be a purplish form blending those two. It may also be a more "relaxed Kaioken" form, sort of like his relaxed Super Saiyan form after the hyperbolic time chamber. If he achieves that aura he may indeed be on par with the GoD's and beat everyone in the tournament. So yes, I think you're right, we may see a "Super Saiyan Purple" in the future :-)

as much as I support your analysis of Super Saiyan God (Red) I think it has more to do with the colors of their auras that affects their inevitable hair color. Most of the other characters ki was white or colorless, indicating use of raw universal power with no particular meaning or stance, it was just pure ki. Kaio-Ken the first colored aura, is red because it was the root of Goku's journey to higher power. with this in mind it makes his red form in Super Saiyan God make much more sense. it was the beginning, the literal root of his power. Once the super saiyan form has been unlocked their aura turns exclusively yellow, showing that is the source of that power. Ultimate Gohan seems to be an exception as his aura goes back to a silver/white indicating that he is using a different type of ki not related to the chakras, or it could be a combination of all as white is the presence of all colors in the spectrum. Also look at Beerus and Champa's aura, it's purple/violet indicating that they themselves despite being divine are not yet perfect. The point is the hair color is affected by the aura of the chakra that has been tapped in to, not the other way around.

I got to give props to you, Masako; this was a very well-done video. And as someone who loves this stuff with the Chakra, you explained it very well. Overall, I do love the different colors and states of Super Saiyan, but at the same time; I do miss Kaioken. I always thought that visually was one of the coolest power-ups in the series. +MasakoX My addition to your theory is that the 2nd chakra is in fact, the Super Saiyan 2 form and I can prove it. First and foremost, there is a distinction between the regular SS1 and SS2. SS1 is Yellow and SS2 is actually Orange. What does the 2nd chakra stand for? Feeling, creativity and social connections. When it is blocked, the person feels shame, insecurity and self - doubt. Now, which DBZ character first reaches this form? Gohan! Gohan in DBZ is characterized by a feeling of inferiority, he doubts himself constantly because everyone is stronger than him. It is important to also remember what Android 16 said to him before being destroyed by Cell: "You are gentle, you do not like to hurt, I know how it is Gohan, because I too have learned this feelings. But it is because you cherish life that you must protect it". And that causes Gohan to unblock the SS2 form, which it can be translated as unblocking the 2nd chakra. Even in the final fight between Gohan and Cell, with the two Kamehameha waves scene, we can see that the self - doubt of Gohan is actually reducing his full potential and Goku is helping him unleash it by saying to him not to doubt himself. Now what about the SS3 form? Maybe it is an overactive 2nd or 3rd chakra since it drains the person who uses it very fast, I don't know . . .

While this is an awesome concept of thinking about the Super Saiyan Transformations, I think if there were to be new transformations it wouldn't/shouldn't be a "Super Saiyan" transformation and rather some other method of power-up. Super Saiyan Blue is supposed to be the form where you have perfect Ki control, meaning you don't waste any Ki. Therefore, I don't think there would be a point for any other transformation if you could basically control how much power release when you attack.

If you think about it, this works well with the base form auras of humans and saiyans too. Their auras are white, which encompasses all colours of light. They're not letting any particular chakra or aura dominate, which is the most efficient but weakest state. The Root chakra also fits well with the Kaioken. I wonder, if that's the case could it be Kaioken is unlocking the Root chakra improperly and higher boosts can destroy the body because it's a forced opening rather than natural?

I always thought of it as a flame, the outermost flame is yellow, and as you comes closer to the center of the flame, the heat increases and at the same time the flame color changes. white(UI)>blue(SSGSS)>red(SSG)>yellow(SS)
