After I built the Aerolithe I was approached by a UK production company to do an 8 part series involving the search for the original Aerolithe. It would have followed the 8 predominant rumours as to what happened to it. After thorough research and a serendipitous observation I discovered the fate of one, and how it may have become the second missing Aerodynamique coupe. I noticed you used a shot of Jay and I driving the car in L.A. I am flying to the Netherlands to reunite with it and continue its story in the very near future.

I saw the Ralph Lauren car at a special indoor exhibit in Old Montreal about twenty years ago. I was right up next to it, and I'll never forget it. The New La Voiture Noir isn't owned by Ronaldo. Someone just was like "Well, Ronaldo has Bugattis, so this could be his" and all the Media just Copied without thinking. I've seen the Real Car in Person and met the Owner and I can confirm that it's 100% not Ronaldo. The Owner doesn't want to be public known, but all I can say is: He is Part of a Family that once owned Bugatti. BTW. there are Rumors, that the Atlantic is now another Type 57 Car. I think a Atalante it was. The Chassis number that belongs to the SC Atlantic La Voiture Noir was found in another Car that is Existing today. But they used to secretly copy and double chassis Numbers at this time, so noone knows exactly
@Get_WrenchedАй бұрын
Yea a lot of mystery around both the og and the new La Voiture Noire. I’ve heard the vin number thing but I think it has been debunked and the La Voiture noire did exist as a 57 Atlantic.
@tobias_k01Ай бұрын
I mean, VINs reappearing on cars is most of the times an issue with shady restoration companies. Kienle is the most recent big example, where one of the most famous and renowned 300 SL experts was in fact a fraudulent company that instead of properly restoring cars just mixed up parts and faked chassis numbers. But changing car bodys definitely was a thing as well back in the day, even going into the 50s and probably 60s.

I think I know of a car that would sell for a lot more than the missing bugatti. A car that nearly everyone knows about and its location is very well know but is highly unlikely it will ever be seen again.
@Get_Wrenched23 күн бұрын
Really? What car would that be? Because in my research this bugatti would be the most valuable car ever ... if found.

@@Get_Wrenched The 1912 Renault type cb Coupe de ville. Currently sat 12,500 feet at the bottom of the atlantic ocean in the hull of the Titanic. As i say, although its location is well known by nearly everyone, its very unlikely it will ever be seen again. But i think it would be worth more due to its bigger market of potential buyers.
@Get_Wrenched22 күн бұрын
I did a lil bit of research cos you made me very curious. From what I can see another Coupe de Ville sold for about $270k around 2008. So while I'm sure the titanic once would fetch a couple million I think it might fall a little short of the bugatti. That being said thanks for the comment, would never have found out about that car without it :)
@Sam-lq2jh22 күн бұрын
@Get_Wrenched the one you are referring to has been restored 3 times, it's most recent restoration to a colour that wasn't its original, the owner wanted it the same colour as the titanic model, that de-values it quite a bit as it is not original, many of the parts are also not original unfortunatly. As I say all this is just our opinions and speculation. Something we will never know for sure. I just believe as it's a more well known vehicle outside the automotive world it would attract a wider ranger of buyers which, along with is history and story it increases the value massively. I am a big fan of the bugatti though and hope one day it is found or information about what happened to it is found.

there's other possible theories (there's millions of theories) one is: the car has been hided in a remote place and forgeted since then. That's not impossible because in the 90' a guy bought a farm to restore it and found 2 Prototype of the 2CV in the attic, so well hided that they had to cut the roof to retrieve the 2 cars hided at the same era as the Bugatti. during more than 60 years those 2 cars weren't even officialy existing (htere were prototype not production cars). so, perhaps "la voiture noire" is hided somewhere in France, so well hided that nobody knows where and this car will probably reappear in few decades and it will worth about the same price as the Mona Lisa

With the entire world of wealthy people looking for it . . . there’s just no way it still exists. No way. ANYONE knowingly allowing the car to sit in a French or German barn for 80 years - who obviously is aware of the 9-figure payday for its (numbers matching) rusted frame - either hates money or unnaturally loves the car. I don’t care if you’re Elon Musk, that’s just too much money left on the table. And, for that much money, even a son would take out his own father - sad, but true. The lucky relative would have made a few calls by now, spawning a new rumor that could be easily traced - basically putting lives in danger. That’s a lot of damn money, and people get homicidal and squirrelly for much less. In the end, it’s gone. But it’s still fun to dream.
@Get_WrenchedАй бұрын
Amazing comment, 10/10. I agree whole heartedly with you about this. If it's location was know to someone, it would have changed hands. The thing is, it could have already changed hands, just not publicly. On top of this, given that Jean and his dad passed away in quick succession, it is a possibility that they took the knowledge of the car's location to the grave with them. But yea its fun to dream!
@BubbaSnipe19 күн бұрын
The nazis had an underground bunker facility by the Danish border to Germany. A Bugatti car was listed as "inventory" already in 1952 upon the founding of the company who took over the bunker in 1947 as a part of war reparations. That same car is still listed as "inventory" per 2024 among other collectibles over the years. That car is black.

If it was ever found, considering its story and being owned by one of the Bugatti founders themselves, I'd say it'd probably be he most expensive car ever.
@Get_WrenchedАй бұрын
Yea it will be, with estimates saying it could be worth around $160M

The car at 1:35 is some form of made up thing. The wrong front axle and suspension also It's left hand drive with disc brakes. Maybe a little more research before you put up the next video and learn how to pronounce French words.
@Get_WrenchedАй бұрын
Hey man love how passionate you are about this. I did as much research as I could for this video but I’m sure a few things fell through the cracks. That being said the clip in 1:35 was pulled from a video on the official Bugatti KZbin page…

Narrator's attempts at French pronunciation are beyond ludicrous. If you know nothing of a language it is best to not try speaking it, just stick to English.

@@Get_Wrenched These deep dives into famous missing cars or cars that were destroyed over time are really interesting. There was a Chrysler that was on the SS Andrea Doria that sunk with the ship. A video on that could be fun.

I tried my best to research and replicate the correct pronunciation of it but I guessed I still have some room to improve haha!

Yall may find it beautiful, extraordinary but to me it looks hideous and ugly ..it's just an overrated car If I had that much money I would buy a Lambo and a nice house rather than waste it on some snail looking car
@Get_Wrenched27 күн бұрын
I’m not going to tell you it’s worth the money but imagine how epic it would have looked back in the 30s. When literal horses were still walking around on the road
