Then I lost all of the support.of the "friends" from my church. I still fall into thinking maybe they were right. This was what I needed to hear to keep hoping. Lmao sounds like u haven’t been diagnosed with DID. Symptoms are not hearing voices. You can’t communicate with the identities you’ve created in your head bc they’re all made up by you and ur mind just chooses when one of them needs to be pulled “out” in order to protect ur mental health. They are fake ppl created in ur own mind based off ideas you have in order to protect urself from danger, these fake people can’t use the same brain as you to make voices in ur head of the identities you created. That’s never been shown in DID, the only mental illness linked to hearing voices is schizophrenia and those voices aren’t ppl in their head, it’s voices they hear externally. There’s no such thing as hearing voices IN UR HEAD with any mental illness, that’s just ur own thoughts and ur just slow and thinkin it’s another voice possibly bc u can’t control what ur mind thinks of. You def ain’t got DID and that’s very prominant from the comment you made. Idk why ppl like u feel like u gotta lie for no reason smh

From what I understand, demons can be cast out pretty easily and sometimes incorrectly. A lot of psychics and people who practice Raki remove demons from people’s lives. But what I have noticed from the patterns of testimonies that I’ve read, these demons have come back into their lives and there were more of them. So they came back stronger. They weren’t casted out correctly. That’s why demons try to get u to cast them out. The only effective way to cast them out is through Jesus Christ because he was the only one on Earth who did not give into any temptation (whether that be the mind/soul or body). That is why they shutter over his name. You know who might be interesting to u? Ravi Zacharias. He is very well spoken and has appeared on the Ben Shapiro show. He just died recently but his teachings are very insightful.

My grandpa was battling cancer. He said that if his time came he wanted it in December. Specifically December 4 because that's the day his parents were killed. 2 days before he passed he wasn't able to talk or move. But we knew he could here because we told him what day it was each day. Once we told him it was December 4 he stopped breathing a couple of hours later. So I'm sure he was aware but just couldn't move. So he chose his time to go, meaning he probably had enough strength to live till the time he chose to go. I always thought it was wierd but I think some people are capable of holding on until a specific day or time comes. That's just me.

Moreover, the fact that she repeated twice already about those "recordings" says a lot. And BESIDES, you're right, even if those recordings were real, they could readily be some staged stuff, or simply a multilingual person who claims to be American (I mean, monolingual). Plz read this: Look up Richard Gallagher. He's an actual physician, a man of science, not a superstitious man. He's the guy that the Church goes to to find out if someone's actually possessed or if they have a mental disorder. He says that 99% of times, there's a psychological explanation, like schizophrenia or epilepsy, but there are some rare cases where they are undoubtedly demon-possessed. They do things like speak perfect Latin, speak in voices not their own, and have super-strength. These people are perfectly mentally healthy and the only thing that cures them is an exorcism. To dismiss this on account of it being "superstitious" and not actually investigate it is very unscientific.

@@ParadiseLordRyu I don't know what you mean with traceable. If you know that the possessed person does not speak a certain language, like French , Hebrew , Arabic or whatever else and all of a sudden he starts speaking it then that is a sign of possession. There are many signs but this is one of them. Exceptional strength all of a sudden is another sign. Priests who have he authority of the Church to exorcise know all about it. The Church is very careful not to take anybody's word for it so there is a process beforehand. The priest has to be chosen by the Bishop to do it , not just any priest can take it upon himself. Then the "sick" person has to have a medical checkup by different doctors , to prove that they could not find any medical reason for his/her strange behaviour. for instance psychiatric reasons, schizophrenia for instance. When all of that is cleared then the priest can do his work. If you are interested then check out Father Ripperberger he is one known priest who does exorcisms and gives talks about it.

While DID can explain a lot of things thought to be possession, he begins his thesis with a fallacy: if there is a disease that can explain these symptoms, the possession idea is refuted. This is a non sequitur fallacy. It could be that possession has symptoms similar to DID. That being said, I understand he's trying to say we have no need to attribute it to paranormal explanations. But I have do say he didn't explain everything. He mentioned Annaliese spoke other languages. Many other possession cases have the same thing from people who do not have sufficient or often any experience at all. How can DID explain knowing another existing language fluently? Things like diseases are internal to the body, but languages are learned and cannot lie dormant in you without prior knowledge. Also many cases involve the demon knowing things a human couldn't know without having paranormal abilities. Lastly, I've even heard of cases where the possessed will have super-strength to throw couches or other extremely heavy objects. I think DID can explain somethings, but when you start to have powers that there's no way you could have, especially speaking languages such as Latin, DID is not the best explanation. Possession is.

And if science can identify or codify split or mutiple personality disorder, it doesn't mean demonic possession does not exist or can be easily dismissed. In short, science may identify the symptoms of an disorder. But the original cause of that disorder has yet to be explained. I'm a minister. I believe in the supernatural and paranormal. I've had 16 people come to me requesting exorcism. I interviewed each of them for less than 5 minutes asking a series of a few questions and giving a few simple tests they didn't know i was giving them and concluded 10 of these ladies and gentlemen were seeking attention and a few possibly needed mental health care and the remaining 6 all needed mental care for sure. Just because I've never had to cast a demon out of someone doesn't mean they don't exist. The case file on Annaliese Michel is not extensive, and is lacking a lot of information medically and also spiritually. For me to say miss Michel was possessed is just as speculative as this gentleman saying D.I.D. explains her situation. He's generalizing and speculating so much he's more of a fortune teller than a man of science.

Demons are man-made mythology. They do not exist. Yes, there are unknown forces in our universe that we can’t explain- that doesn’t mean we should slap a label on them as if we “know” what they are. The demons you read about in the Bible are mostly New Testament stories borrowed from earlier Greek myths. The original Greek word daimon eventually became “demon” when early Christians got a hold of it, and turned it into this dark, superstitious thing. It’s made up hogwash.
@StingofTruth2 жыл бұрын
@@patrickwoods2213 so you violated the law of non-contradiction twice and rendered your entire statement null and void. You start out by making the affirmation that "Demons are man-made mythology. They do not exist." Then your very next statement negates the previous one when you said "Yes, there are unknown forces that we can't explain". If we can't explain them then you need to present evidence of that they cannot be explained. But then you'd be explaining the unexplainable... If they aren't explainable by just natural phenomenon then they very well could ve devils. Either way, your entire line of reasoning rests entirely upon logical fallacies.

Have You come here to torment us before the time?” Now there was a herd of many swine feeding at a distance from them. The demons began to entreat Him, saying, “If You are going to cast us out, send us into the herd of swine.” And He said to them, “Go!” And they came out and went into the swine, and the whole herd rushed down the steep bank into the sea and perished in the waters." -Matthew 8:28-32

As an atheist skeptic of 21 years, I couldn't explain what happened after I felt like something was watching me through the window at my parent's house. I really tried. Science addresses only the natural world, and the super natural/ paranormal really seems to exist. I would never run away from someone who claims to be plagued by the supernatural, but I can't discount the possibility of it being true. Mental illness is real, but when you look into the shadow figures the schizophrenic, and meth users, and others see, you might be willing to accept that there is something more than the 4-5 dimensional reality we live in. When will we stop positioning science against religion? 1. demonic possession was a way to explain the phenomenon, while science did not exist to explain it. But 2. Just because science can now identify the activity in the brain and make up a name for the phenomenon, doesn't mean that there is not a spiritual force behind it. If only science is allowed to be valid, then can science explain where this disorder originated? Hassaan explained it briefly himself- trauma. Emotional, and physical abuse creates a mental disorder and then starts to take over the body. She was possessed by dark energies that came into her body... that's multiple personalities able to live within one body. That is multiple personality disorder and that is being demon-possessed. Talking the same thing. Stop pinning science and the spiritual realm against one another, they are meant to support one another.

Whoa. This comment section is fascinating. So many people making arguments from incredulity. “I don’t understand - therefore demons”. Why don’t atheists experience demonic possessions? Because atheists don’t believe in the supernatural or any other magical deities. When something is wrong we look for answers that have been empirically proven to work. Why is it that nearly every (if not all) the stories about people who become possessed are also affiliated with some sort of supernatural belief system? Because they are pre-conditioned to believe in demons, so when they experience something that they are not equipped to deal with rather than seek actual help, they lean into their predisposed superstitions. Why are demonic possessions more common is the lesser developed areas of the world? The same reason they were more common in history - less access to modern knowledge, and medicines and therapies. One more... every person who has PERSONALLY witnessed an excorism: did anything happen that ABSOLUTELY could not be explained by something other than demons? Have you seen a human do something LITERALLY impossible to human ability? Be honest. A second hand story doesn’t even come close. This man made plenty of sense. It’s just that many people are so emotionally tied to their religious identities that they are immune to reason. The emotional outbursts are evidence of this.

For as much as human beings do know, there’s an infinite number of things and occurrences that will forever be unknown and inexplicable. @@soslothful Ok so I can think of an infinite number of reasons why I don’t want to have this conversation with a complete stranger on KZbin. The main one being is that I refuse to be baited into an argument. Mankind is constantly acquiring new information everyday. We discover something new everyday especially with the internet and social media it’s happening at an even faster rate than it ever has before. You do not need to claim infinite knowledge to know this simple truth. For instance there’s an infinite number of ways your life could be cut short. You have no idea when or where it’s going to happen the possibilities are endless. Are you suggesting we know everything there is to know? Sounds foolhardy to me. As I previously stated we’re learning everyday, if there wasn’t an infinite number of things we don’t know or understand then we would’ve reached the limits of our knowledge hundreds maybe thousands of years ago. Nothing would’ve of been invented at a certain point we never would’ve progressed in any way shape or form. As far as what we’re not supposed to know that is a personal belief not necessarily an irrefutable truth. Use your imagination and you will see that it’s an endlessly changing process we’ll never know everything there is to know about life because there is always more to learn and discover. Constant change=endless possibilities. Now we can put that to bed because I tire of philosophical debates especially with someone who entertains themselves by making foolish statements like you have to claim infinite knowledge to know a simple truth that 99% of the population understands. Thanks for the comment it’s the last one I’ll see from you.
