Thank You - You're an inspiration to me and my guitar playing has improved immensely due to your style and cadence of instruction. You give just enough info per lesson to enable the next step in the progression.

Yes. Another lesson from marco...and i realize that this is exactly what im working on right now! I think that this is the way to see and learn the fretboard. GOTTA KNOW YOUR MODES! PS: Can u give suggestion of a fairly easy classical piece that i can add to my practice routine? Thanks.

Hi Matthew! I am glad you like the exercise! Learn a simple Giuliani piece, I am sure it’ll be super effective for your technique. Try the Studio in A minor Op. 50

Great lesson Marco - I should have done this decades ago. Any particular recommendations for the fingering?
@MarcoCirillo2 жыл бұрын
Since each box is within a five-fret range, I would recommend assigning a finger to each fret. For example, A6 I use finger 1, 3, and 4, etc. For the wide positions, for example fret 1-3-5 for F4 I would use finger 1, 2, and 4. I hope this helps :)

Can you write a song with some beautiful chords in it about Dylan Rounds? He’s been missing since memorial day weekend. If you could write a song that conveys and evokes emotion everyone feels about him, so we can grieve

I thought this was going to be right hand picking technique but it was all about left hand exercises.
@juscallmej2 жыл бұрын
yea me as well. kept waiting for him to focus on the picking hand. looks like he is alternate picking mostly.
@MarcoCirillo2 жыл бұрын
True. I should’ve talked about the right hand more! I am still getting used to using the guitar pick again so I didn’t want to share too much since I am still figuring the best way that works for me. For this exercise though, you can use alternate picking starting with a downstroke.

@@MarcoCirillo Thanks for the reply Marco. I have never been comfortable playing with a pick so I'm always open to any advice. I'm actually not comfortable on anything other than a classical guitar (except for bass which has always been my primary instrument so that probably has something to do with it). Anyway, I always enjoy your videos.
