How I loved this man’s teaching. God used it to change my life as a saved arminian believer 25 years ago to a doctrines of grace loving believer. The Holy Spirit showed me through RC Sproul and scripture that all credit goes to God for saving my rebellious sinful soul, how could a dead sinner choose anything? I thought I made the right choice but later realized from scripture that that would give me something to boast about and would be wrong. The Lord said he will see me through to the end Jude v24 so I rest in my eternal security as well, all glory and praise to God! ❤️✝️

It's sobering and terrifying to realize from scripture that most of mankind is going to hell. Satan's plan is to keep us blinded to that fact in order that we, as Christisns, will spend less time rescuing the perishing. I'd say that satan is working his plan quite well, to the periels to the unsaved world. I memorized this scripture (Matt 7: 13-14) years ago. I quote it almost daily to remind myself that the world's idea of almost everyone is going to heaven is not supported by Christ's own words. It takes my breath away to realize that so many people are unaware of their lost condition and like to argue that "their God" is a God of love and their relationship with Him is good. How deceived they are. Only Holy Spirit can convince them otherwise, but they must be open to receive the promptings of Holy Spirit.

Can the gates of salvation be closed forever to a Christian who has fallen away but is still alive?
@mrr7870 Жыл бұрын
A Christians can fall into sin. Even deep sin. But Romans 8:1 tells us that "therefore there is now NO condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus". So what happens to those in Jesus who fall into sin? Hebrews 12:6-7 tells us that God chastens every son whom He recieveth. You are no longer condemned, but God WILL correct His children and bring them back to repentance and on the path of holiness and obedience. It's out of love. Just like earthly parents punish their children when they misbehave. So if you fall into sin, and God chastens you, rejoice in it, because you KNOW you are His.

I'm sure you'd agree that warning of Hell and the reality of eternal damnation for the unrepentant sinner is not "frightening anyone into salvation". That's the Gospel, plain and simple. That Jesus died to save sinners from the eternal wrath of God for their sin and those who reject Him, even those who pretend to know Him, will be cast out and be in eternal torment. I don't want to misread your comment's intention so, would you mind explaining what you meant?

I for one wasted a large part of my life, trying to persuade people that I love to beg God for mercy and forgiveness and a salvation. I have used every tool possible to no avail. I now see that I was a fool. You can read the word of God to them, and that’s it. It’s 100% up to God. May God forgive me for being so arrogant to think that I could persuade somebody in the following Jesus. Give all the glory to Jesus the son of the living God for the grace that he has bestowed on me in particular my salvation. Praise God. this truly is a sad world full of lost people. All of the tears of the world could not save even one soul. If the tears of Jesus himself failed to change, a single heart, how arrogant of me to believe my tears could change a single heart.

@@bobbates7421 Beautifully said Bob🙏 So many scriptures say God does the saving to give a people to Christ as a gift Eph 2. We were dead in trespasses and who made us alive in Christ? He did. We share the gospel because God uses us as his means to reach his chosen. We don’t know who they are but what freedom to know it’s not my eloquent words that save or even my inept attempts but it’s his regenerating power through the Holy Spirit.
