Hey David. Correction, Dominica’s national dish was changed a while back because the mountain chicken is endangered. It’s now crab and callaloo which you DID have during your visit 🙂

Serb here, Cevapcici certainly are one of our national dishes, but I would definitively say "Sarma" is THE national dish as it is served at pretty much every Wedding or Slava (celebration of the family's patron saint)

Hi David! Great job putting this video together! Even though I got to learn more about the other countries national dishes, I’d like to correct you on the national dish of Central African Republic. I grew up there and the national dish is a peanut butter ground cassava leaves stew called Goundja in Sango the national language asides from French. Okra stew (sauce gombo) is also commonly eaten there however not with shrimp as CAR is a landlocked country and shrimp would usually be imported from Cameroon making it less accessible to the population. Okra means Gombo in French and that is just the vegetable but Gumbo is that dish from the south of the US. Gumbo and Sauce Gombo are very different in consistency as the sauce Gombo is meant to be very slimy!

Hey David. Enjoying these meals. Many of them look amazing. Was that cheese in the Pupusa’s, if so that’s my fav. Lovvvvvve all cheese. My mum made pepperpot all the time. Never even knew Japanese eat curry til you featured it 🤷🏻‍♀️. Had poi. Did not like. Amazing video. What a blessing to travel the world and learn other cultures and foods. Serbian food is special because people are such gastronomes. You could say that Serbia is poor because all money was spent on Food and Music. Each family celebrates "Slava", and it is safe to say that pork made in Serbia will be godly. The grill in particular is 2nd to none, too. All typical Balkan dishes are raised to a much higher level without much experimentation. Just salt and quality ingredients. But Serbia does not really advertise this, so it is always mindblowing to tourists when they visit. You have to appreciate the food and not try to mask it.

I am sorry to tell you, that you made a mistake when it comes to the Austrian National dish. It is not Tafelspitz but Wiener Schnitzel. If you haven't tried it i highly recommend it, it certaintly is one of my favourite dishes.
