@hadotakeki3653 no I paid him on here because of the effort he put in to convert a text platform into something anyone can listen to. I'm not sure If both he and the original creator made some deal or not but, if this was "stolen" you'd be unable to watch it. He's also credited to writer multiple times. And I have also paid the writer as I enjoy his content. I just appreciate when people do damn good adaptations.

It just occurred to me that all the times the humans "know" someone is in the room without turning around is, in fact, due to our peripheral vision. @@adastra1978 I have no complaints. I'm pretty new to HFY stories, almost 2 weeks, so I don't really have any channels that I'm a fan of yet I guess, but this is the first story over 45 minutes that I've found to be worth my time and one of the few reading that genuinely gives each character a different voice Most of the "stories" I consume are SCP related with TheVolgun and the Eastside Show SCP being the channels I listen to most. The volgun is an actual voice actor who does an amazing job with his characters. Eastside Steve has a single, gruff voice that absolutely nails the Foundation aspect of the SCP universe. I really enjoy both of their channels and listen to their content regularly. I've enjoyed the first omnibus as much as I have any of their readings, irrespective of content, for whatever that's worth to you Thanks for reading all these so that I can listen to them

This has been one of the best sci-fi story that I have stumbled upon in the last 15 years. I have read some of SpacePaladin15 other stories and I`ve been an absolute fan since! But man this one... damn this one is so fkin good it DEMANDS a proper visual interpretation immediately. Not to take anything from Adastra audio narration. Absolute anti-thesis of the modern day travesty called Disney Star Wars. And that is coming from a kid that scratched clean multiple VHS of the original trilogy and adorement of the Prequels and Clone Wars animated series. Utmost admirations to all who`s been involved in this project. I listened the entire clip in one sitting and I cannot wait for the rest of the story. YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I'm about an hour in and must say this is a cut above most HFY efforts. Great story! My only complaint is the music. It competes with the narration too much and us just too overbearing at some points and the vid would benefit from dialing it down a notch. Unless this is supposed to be a soace musical? :)

Thank you. I have to be honest and admit the early videos on here were a little rough around the edges with an inferior AI voice changer to what I have now, plus finding the right audio levels/narration pace has taken some time to work out. I've also had to improve my voice acting 😂 I do look back and cringe a little but hey, everyone's channel evolves and improves over time I suppose! What started out as an experiment has really come into its own in the later chapters. It still isn't perfect but I'm sure this will also improve as time goes on 🤞

@@adastra1978 Look at it this way - I made that post over 3 hours ago, just before midnight my time. And 3 hours later I'm still listening. Good thing I can reschedule my morning and binge the rest of this story. That might not be an eloquent compliment but beats blowing smoke up your arse. :) I do mean it.. A cut above the rest. And as you seem committed it's bound to get better. Cheers

@@baldbastardo thank you very much - I'm really glad you like my videos 😊 I keep looking for ways to improve the content too so it can only get better. I only wish I could compete with the fully AI narrated channels but it's impossible for me to read and act the story fast enough...

My brain cannot help but think of the first contact aliens as Bunnies... No amount of descriptions otherwise can convince my brain otherwise... Also... I can't also help but think of an inversion of the story with humanity meeting a ridiculously scary but unreasonably friendly alien species.

@@littleredpony6868 Mantises actually. The Thrnax. They and humans end up hooking up as best buddies to the point of total military integration... and are considered the scariest military power when working together. (They take one Thranx and one Human, stick them in a fighter ship and then drug them both out of their minds. The thranx starts acting hyper logically and becomes the perfect gunner, while the human's instinctual responses essentially make them pack hunters) Its one of my favorite series of books. By Alan Dean Foster.

I really like how the writer put quite some thought behind this. I hadn't considered non omnivore/carnivore could have heavy instinctual reactions to predator like species. But listening to this its logical since we have similar reactions to things we consider monstrous.
