As someone who has played basketball at a high level (OTE, EYBL) I have to say I agree. I spend alot of times talking with NBA players, talking with NBA scouts and I have to agree. They Look for Athleticism, Basketball IQ, Defense and Ball Handling. Multiple NBA Scouts have said having a strong defensive game is key due to people not wanting to play defense these days. If you have the ability to play defense and have a decent offensive game than you could increase your odds of getting picked up as you will be seen as an 3&D player which are currently dominating the league right now. You’ll probably get into the second round considering the fact that the people who are drafted in the 1st round will be able to do all of those things at an extremely extremely high level and can have the ability to carry the team as they are seen to become a possible franchise player or an really important key piece for the team.
