"They could have just given me these two pieces." I just bought this puzzle yesterday, and got it today. I took it apart in about the same time as you, probably a little longer, but I felt the EXACT same with those last two pieces. As I was taking it apart I was memorizing how to redo what I had done every step of the way, and then all of a sudden... I made progress and COULD NOT undo it... and after solving it the rest of the way, I am currently stuck at the same place you are at the end of this video, trying to switch the order of the two dangling pieces.

Chris I started puzzles about a year ago because of you! I decided to purchase 10 Hanayama puzzles of various difficulties. The Enigma was 1 of them.......it hurt my brain. Now a year later I finally get to watch someone else suffer as much as me. Thank you for that now I feel better!
@dapperdragons73145 жыл бұрын
This is one of my favorite Hanayama puzzles. And it took me MUCH longer to put it together than it did to take it apart. If you don’t put the pieces back in the EXACT way and order you removed then it won’t go back to its original position. It’s an amazing puzzle though and it’s fun to fiddle with once you’ve solved it a few times. Believe it or not though, there are a few puzzles by hanayama that are even harder, in my opinion. Quartet? I gave up on that one a LONG time ago...

Great video! I got this puzzle for the Christmas few years ago and it was nice surprise to see that in your video. I spent more than a week fiddling with it. Family hated me, but I needed to get it solved and back together. Hypnotizing. For me it also took less time to solve it than to put it back together. This was one of my first puzzles I ever purchased and it's definitely as difficult as it's been described. Anyways, as difficult as this puzzle is, it's become one of my favorites of all time. I've wanted to see you try this puzzle for some time, cant believe I didn't see it when you posted it. Very satisfying when complete, one of the hardest hanayama I've collected, with the most sequential moves. I'll comment on some of your newer post about seeing you try 2 more puzzles. 1, hanayama's hourglass (I believe, could be wrong, 4 steel pieces if that helps) my hanayama collection includes almost all of their level 4 through 6 puzzles and that one topped enigma for me. Also VERY satisfying. 2, revomaze, start with aqua just for fun. Took me about 45 minutes to mentally map out but I doubt the community will be upset with you showing a solution for the easiest maze. We all have bridges to cross and I'm sure it will help the revomaze community in the end. Love the vids though, and always support! Thank you!

This was super fun for me to watch because I got this same puzzle for Christmas this year from my grandparents. It was really funny listening to your commentary because it was essentially the same thing I was saying to myself as I was attempting to solve it. I was able to get the pieces apart over the course of a month just fiddling around with it. I then got stuck putting it back together exactly as you did @ 15:00. My best guess is I put one of the pieces together backward when trying to reassemble it. It had been sitting on my side table in that same position to this day, mocking me.

It was in a common area and I fiddled with it every so often. One day, I finally managed to get it apart but had absolutely no idea how to put it back together. Eventually, I gave up and put the pieces into one of my boxes when I moved. This video reminded me of them so I started digging through my old boxes. After a bit of a search I was excited to find them next to an old model kit. Well, more specifically I found.... two of the three pieces. The third piece (the one with the thin groove) is probably long gone. RIP.

A work friend let me borrow this puzzle and it was one of the toughest ones I’ve ever done. I had a similar experience...losing my s#!t trying to put the damn thing back together!! I finally did...but it took a few sessions of having to put it down for a while. Glad to see the mighty Chris even had a tough time.

This is my favorite puzzle to tinker with at my desk. Solving it over and over is always satisfying

I'm glad this melted your brain too Chris. I left it on the coffee table when I couldn't put it back together. Tried it every day until I got it. Took a while in fairness but that's value for money in puzzle terms for me. Win win. Peace out
