*This one* will be mostly lit from the inside, tracing rays from the center outwards type of lit :D Right now I'm split between two states of mind: waiting eagerly to release the teaser etc all at once; and urging myself (and Aidy too) to cross all the necessary tasks from the todo list which isn't perfectly green, and suffers from too much yellow so to speak.

Out of curiosity, what specs do you have? I'll be able to tell then, if that's the case :)

@@GlebAlexandrov AMD Ryzen 5 3600 and RTX 2060 Super.

@@VincentFikacz I have RTX 2080ti , but rest assured, we adapted it to the average GPU so to speak, you'll be OK! :) And if that doesn't convince you, there are sections specifically tailored for quicker rendering so to speak, like for example the pure 3d emission/absorption type of the interstellar clouds (2-5 sec per frame on my GPU, so it's VERY manageable, and running almost realtime in the viewport). Aidy was testing everything on his GTX 1080, and it was just fine throughout the whole course, too :)

Been waiting since 2019 for you to drop something like this. 21st cannot come soon enough, pretty much Christmas come early 🎄 My PC will help heat my house during the winter months rendering these nebulas 😂

No doubt you'll have some extra source of heating, double so if you intend to try (gulp) ANIMATIONS! Triple so if these animations aren't the simple camera orbits but some sort of the 4d noise evolution / unfolding. That is when the real GPU action kicks in. What GPU do you have btw? :)

Still not as impressive as the real space artists, working in Houdini etc, though. We'll try to come as close as possible to what the pros are doing, though, to the extent it was humanly possible.

Pffff, that is a built-in feature, which comes with the regular version. You just set the Volume Step Size to 0.0001 (first unblocking that multiplier in the Blender config), then the Max Steps to 1000024, and hit render. I haven't told you that, just in case.

There's a fair share of the noise algorithms hacking involved (not necessarily the physics-driven algorithms, but there's the fractal Brownian motion in there so I guess that ticks that box, kind of?). I appreciate your support :)
