If it's hissing like that after firing, there's a non-zero chance the bladder has a leak. From what I know (never actually owned one), that's a common thing with Magstrikes from the era, where the bladder breaks, sometimes a tiny bit and other times severely, and starts leaking. Pretty much all air blasters from the era and earlier are prone to leakage due to age, so I wouldn't be surprised. The best thing to do is find the leak and slap some duct tape on it. That, or find an ICON Magstrike, which is newer and less likely to leak as a result but also uses the exact same clip (probably the exact same internals, too.)

The original seller says that it’ll hold air for only about 5 minutes so I figured it was a leak, I’m not gonna worry unless it becomes a bigger problem but if it does then I’ll fix it

I have two of these, and back in the day, pre-pumping them and dual wielding was just * chef's kiss * Infinite power for about 2 seconds.

Correction, ALL the bladder powered blasters are way too much fun. The Wildfire, the PowerClip, the Rapidfire AS-20, and even the Buzzbee Destiny are all just amazing and deserve recognition or another rerelease down the road.

i use to think the deploy sucked thanks to COOP but when i got one my thoughts changed the instant i owned it, its legit underratted and overhated, and i did own a magstrike from darttag for only a dollar and 24 cents with mag on clearance at a thrift store with a little leak, it worked i took it apart and wait to make a demolisher launcher and failed

Replace the pump with a tire valve adaptor and you can use any pump or tire inflator of choice.

You wanna know something else annoying about the clip thing? When they first released it, they referred to the clip as a magazine.

What if Hasbro re-released the magstrike, put metal-like designs on it, and called it “The Iron Lung”? It fits with the blaster, and it seems like Hasbro would probably name their blasters like that.
