Awesome video!! You should throw a really heavy spring on it and mod it to fire short darts, you could probably fit 6 short darts per shell if you cut down the dart posts. P.S You are my favorite nerf youtuber!

Luckily now we have a successor, the trilogy! It doesn’t have proprietary shells, and is shell ejecting! And it’s pretty good too I think.

Eh, it only used proprietary shells because the trilogy made its own shells which were 100% worse

@@Xiiki I have the trilogy now and it works fine, the shell ejecting is also really fun! I like that you can buy more shells by buying cheap shellstrikes.(didn’t do it yet, but it is possible)

3:03 let me ruin the blaster for you... look closer at the grip, see how that dark grey snake skin becomes light grey towards the bottom, when it emerges from the wrap? THAT KILLS ME EVERY TIME I HANDLE ONE OF MY SLEDGEFIRES!!! That was a very good review. If all your stuff is this good I might have to subscribe!

@@runkurgan there’s no way something that small could be worse than alpha strike or release elite 2.0, details that drive me nuts like that are things like the stryfe being asymmetrical, or the alpha trooper not having a barrel lug

nice. I just got one (with all shells) in bulk sale along with centurion and 10 other blasters... for equivalent of 70 USD including shipping. After that video, I think I may get another one (sadly one shell only), that I've found for ~10 USD.

As cool as these really are, I still have to say the Takedown is the better Nerf shotgun for me. They can handle spring upgrades no problem compared to Sledgefires, Look like something out of Quake 3 Arena, and after removing the priming lock, can also shoot more than one round like a Turok evolution style Quad-Shotgun. Plus Rival rounds just work far better as shotgun ammo for various reasons.

The takedown certainly is more practical, it just seems too big to basically be a higher capacity kronos I’d probably go with a modded Saturn without a stock, or with an extended stock instead, since either of those would basically do the same thing but with slamfire and even more extra shots
