"The nerfs did nothing." As I'm pretty sure Gogeta 4 was nowhere to be found in top 24 and only 1 Trash Coat in top 6. Also, it's Yasha and Hikari, lmfao. They've been playing the same exact team for 2 years and they're incredible players. They won in spite of the nerfs. I guarantee that if neither of them were at EVO then we wouldn't have seen Blue Gogeta in top 6 at all and maybe not even Vegito. Here's the fusions/Trash Coat usage at EVO 2022 in top 8: Blue Gogeta - 3 Vegito - 3 Trash Coat - 5 Gogeta 4 - 1 Here's their usage in this year's top 6: Blue Gogeta - 2 Vegito - 2 Trash Coat - 1 (look at this difference, holy shit! Even I was caught off guard) Gogeta 4 - 0 IDK how you can say the nerfs did nothing when you compare the usage from last year to this year

People don't care, they just want another reason to complain. Jiren and gotenks just got to (or back to for gotenks) top tier and people are already complaining about them and the patch is only a month or 2 old, you just can't win with this community. It's like nitro had an objectively better team than yasha/hakari but just got outplayed, and they are still blaming the team.

@@uchiharainy Exactly. I think you could argue that Gropis' and Garlic Bread's teams were better, too. But like you said, they got outplayed. Hikari and Yasha got to GF because they were the better players. Not because double fusion is still broken

@@Kitsune986 yeah like regardless of team played certain players are gonna for sure top 8 because they are just that good. If Wawa/nitro/yasha etc are in a tournament I expect them to top 8 regardless of what team they use. It’d be different if the top 8 was an average joe and 7 pro players and the pros all used mid/low tier teams and the avg guy used top tiers and all the pros got washed, then you’d have a legitimate argument that the top tiers are broken. But the best players got results regardless, Sonic came back for either BBB or Heatwave and got to GFs after like a year away with no fusions, nitro never played fusions, neither did shanks and what do you know they were still highly competitive. People were just getting salty that the non Wawa French players, Hakari and kite were doing good in tournaments in s4 because they thought they were carried by their teams.

And it effected gogeta blue by almost not being usable since a point character who doesn't build meter is cringe and no Vegito with him is actual trolling and Vegito got effected by it with his level 3 mixup less used unless if you have so much meter in the back which also effects his zoning from 236S SD becomes a much more terrifying option for them

Obviously they're still strong, lol. But did you notice the players running that team? They were Yasha, who popularized the team, and Hikari who...well, copied the team (but he's obviously an incredible player). The point is that both of them have been running that team for 2 years. I highly doubt they'd switch unless the characters were actually garbage. If neither of went to EVO then I highly doubt we would have seen a single Blue Gogeta in top 6 and maybe even a single Vegito

17 has the worst normals, the assist nerf I can understand but my guy has the stubbiest normals, and the ones with decent reach have the recovery of Anthony Davis in the regular season lmao if anyone gets the nba reference but I only play him because I like his combo routes all he has going for him are rekkas and even then it’s easy to reflect
