12:11 Really? Damn. IMO if you're watching DBZA for the first time in 2024, it's definitely a show that started off as a... 2000s youtube era abridged series. Definitely got better as it went on, IMO the point where DBZA gets genuinely good is when Frieza, Zarbon and Dodoria are introduced, and then it's all uphill from there. Some of its VAs are actually professional VAs now, too, iirc. And it had some of the best editing on youtube for the time (it's lip-synced, unlike a lot of anime dubs). Very memorable/quotable show, too. Would recommend if you like the idea of a 2000s era abridged series that slowly improves over time. EDIT: Also I genuinely can't unhear some of the voices for some of the characters (specifically Trunks and Krillin)

Regarding Strive's OST: I think it depends on how you're measuring it. I think for a game soundtrack, music to hear while you fight, its not great really. But purely as music to listen to?? Some of the best VGM I've ever heard, I adore like half the choices with some being in my top 20 songs of all time. *Drift* and *The Circle* go SO hard!

i think the strive theme is kinda polarizing because some of them are incredible and others are just kinda meh or downright bad

Strive songs are weird. They don't hold up on their own. It's the story telling and the encapsulation of character personalities within the songs, related to the Guilty Gear universe, that really push the Strive OST into godhood. Most of the songs without context aren't that great. After learning some lore, interpreting the lyrics, and getting the little references to older GG themes... It becomes very difficult not to resonate with the music. I personally didn't like Bedman's theme, The Circle, when it dropped. But after learning a bit about Bedman from Xrd and coming back to the song, I love the crap out of it.
