Aamna I appreciate you for being honest and giving honest opinions on KUQ matter. It's infuriating how he was saying Aamna is sister of Liberals and openly and shamelessly did character assassination of that woman who was with him. It shows his misogyny that even if a man and woman were together, it's woman whose character is questionable. Isn't he the same person who says he speaks "absolute truth" and in Gentleman's 5th episode he wrote that if a woman and man are having ice-cream in a car then it should be told to fiance or spouse. But he goes at 4 am to a woman's place and says what's wrong with it. "Mera waqt meri marzi jab bhi jaaun"

I posted something about a week ago regarding the tone Hassan uses when speaking of KRQ. I may be hypersensitive to the topic, but Hassan puts KRQ on a pedestal whenever he talks about him. All the “khalil -ur-rahman sahib….”, makes my stomach turn. That person doesn’t deserve anyone’s respect. As a survivor of DV, there are qualities I see in KRQ that are VERY similar to an ab*ser. He may write poetically, touching upon women’s issues BUT then he turns around and degrades women, using words of vulgarity against them, screaming at them when they challenge his ideology. This is the exact behavior of a manipulator and ab*ser. They slap you, then grab your feet, begging for mercy….until they do it again. People need to start calling KRQ out for his behavior…and that doesn’t mean he needs to be shamed in public, but stop feeding into his G*d-like complex. Enablers. Yes, you have a right to your opinion, but in all honesty, my heart truly hurts when I hear the admiration in your voice. 🙏🏽

I think Hassan is right, not all rich people are snobs.. sorry Aamna, your description of rich people sounded very snobbish, such description maybe right in context of dramas but in real life Hassan’s point is reasonable. the rich people Hassan is referring to are like Bill Gates, Zuckerberg who have loads of money but are much above these things. So there are all sorts of rich people.

I agree, I think Hassan is trying to say that even rich people can drink tea on a side road Or have the cheapest thing in their household. Rich poeple can be realistic and stingy lol. What amna is describing is maybe her own lifestyle. Many times she has referred to such analysis about rich people. Her circle might like that and that's OK, if you hear her talking about budget buy, she just started to acquire a few of them and to her surprise it's as beautiful as a designer label . I have been following KRQ’s dramas for good part of 10 years and majority of his interviews. I am a fan of his dramas but he needs to stop doing these interviews and i think he won’t. What i have seen from his interviews is that this man knows he has a talent and he doesn’t let go any opportunity to make money. He is famous for taking money from anyone who offers him. We all know he sold MPTH to a guy 10 years ago before it was actually made by Humayun. Social media is getting their share of the pie from this controversy and the enemies in the industry he made over the years are enjoying as well. The far right and left of our country are both extremists. People like KRQ and Iffat Omer are 2 sides of the same coin who are hell bent on that they are the real torch bearers and we audience are the most stupidest of them all. To think that you can learn morality or life lessons from celebrities is an idiotic thought from our part.

Couldn't agree more. Why do people give attention to celebrities who are nothing but a big time hypocrites and it holds true for most of them. Be it the actresses who claim representing women emancipation or actors who claim representing emancipation of society in general. Extremism, right or left, and the tendency of people to tilt towards one or the other side has come at the cost of human reasoning, basic morality and humanity. Any deed of a person is scrutinized and validated by people based on if it is conducive to their ideology. Anything which is not is subjected to humiliation and brickbats.

54:50 "we're nobody to judge" if khalil ur rehman qamar goes for a booty call at 4 am in the night, but we're gonna cry over the fact that a writer)/director brilliantly and beautifully crafted some scenes of two men in love hurting no-one in a series called 'barzaakh'. NO ABSOLUETLY NOT #hassan. "we're nobody to judge" when it's a man. "we're nobody to judge" when it's hetrosexuality. But we'll absolutely judge if two men are riding a bycicle, hurting no one and finally Gay Love is shown as the Love that it is! Isn't straight sex out of a marriage (that too by cheating on a wife) equally (if not more?) haraam and wrong as a Gay Person indulging in intercourse? JUDGEMENT ALWAYS ARISES FOR THE WEAKER AND THE EASIER TARGET! #hypocrisy I hope you answer this one #onthespot. . . (P.S. ALSO KUDOS #amna for being the sensible one in that review of barzaakh ep 2, maybe I'll leave this comment over there as well incase you miss it.)

OMG THANK GOD SOMEONE SAID THAT! it was so funny seeing him making such a big deal out of that and calling it a "not needed" part of the series. As if all the straight characters in all the series had been directly linked to the plot! In so much of the series heterosexuality and romantic relationships are shown as a breather or as a character's personal arc in the whole without directly linking to the main plot. But we'll cry only about the gay ppl, that too when it really is knitted well into a story! LMAO!

Honestly i dont know if everything can be generalized about class norms. I belong to upper middle class with highly educated parents but they are not tech savvy. they have a coffee machine, halogen airfryer, massage chair even the toaster that they have never used just because they find the alternative easier and quicker. We do have live in servants but i prefer washing and ironing certain clothes and sorting my wardrobe even cleaning my mirrors myself because i've ocd and i'm only satisfied when things are done a certain way (not to mention i'm always mindful of not showing them the excessive stuff i got so they wont get hurt by the things they cant afford) I wont buy k18, kerastase, redken, olaplex pureology now and would prefer a local haircare brand over them not because i cant afford the former. Same goes for makeup, skincare, perfumes and handbags. My father who was the hod of medicine at the biggest hospital at that time had a phone worth only 11K when all his children had flagship phones simply because he's a simple man who didn't see the point in 'showing off' with expensive phones. (his words) I used to go medical college/hospital in the college bus/rikshaw with 3 cars sitting in the porch simply because we lived at quite a distance from my college and my father and brother had their own jobs, i never learned driving out of laziness, and i'm not comfortable with a driver because of the hadith that forbids two non mehrams to be alone together in an enclosed space. Even with uber, i always opt for rikshaw not the car because the rikshaw is not entirely closed. My parents were never fond of spending money on clothes. They always spent more on furniture or electronics or books (we have a whole library at home) or plants basically everything else. All through my college days i was never the best dressed one. I was financially way better than the majority of the girls way better dressed than me. Oh and i still like the 5 rupees top pops. I could go on forever. And i dont know if it's different for elites but i believe being rich and still not a bougie are not mutually exclusive.

Amina id right. All these shows and movies will be made by independent ( ahem) production companies registered in overseas. The plan is to grab an overseas audience from Pakistani diaspora and audience from other countries in overseas who follow Pakistani actors. These shows and movies will not be allowed to release in India. India can't place a ban on youtube and other OTT platforms so they would rather take advantage of it and make money out of it but releasing in India means 1) Pakistani soft power and Indians getting familiar with Pakistan and Pakistanis 2) Pakistanis making a huge amount of money from the Indian market and 3) Pakistanis taking over current taporri bollywood actors.

He is a very inconsiderate man and that’s the reason people feel no sympathy for him.

The halala theme in Manjogi was shown previously in a drama as well many years ago. Don't remember the name but it had Javaid Sheikh and Behroz Sabswari. Javaid Sheikh had given divorce to his wife and his friend played by Behroz offered to marry the wife..but I have no idea how the drama progressed from there on. If anyone remembers the name please do tell

Hasan & Aamna , the new drama with the topic of Halala. I remember a brilliant drama I watched about 20 odd years ago starring Mahnoor Balooch and Numan Ijaz and Kaisar and it was about the talaq and Mahnoor pushed into doing a Halala, called Yeh Zindagi I'm sure. Super hit drama.

4wheeler is a visual parameter but taste is acquired …. Henceforth if multi-billionaire relishes dal chawal will order the same even in a 7 star & the hotel will duly oblige no questions asked .. case in point the Ambani’s … they are vegetarians and they get their basic ( poor man’s meal ) in the most exquisite of dining settings in the world 🌎 hope this example settles the understanding between you two on the “ Hum dono” point 🙏🏻

Hassan, while I agree with most of the things you said in this episode about KRQ, but didn't you invite him to your show for the same reason and if I remember correctly, you also ask some similar questions in that interview. Isn't it unfair to point out other media channels when you also did the same.
