I played Diablo 1&2 as a kid, and got really into Diablo 3 when it came out, and loved it. I ended up hitting Lv.70 with every class, including the dlc classes. I had a storage FULL of legendary gear of all levels, and thousands of gems of every tier. Eventually I learned of a way to duplicate items using the online matchmaking, if you joined a players game, dropped a bunch of stuff, the. Unplugged or otherwise hard-shut off your Xbox, your game would t save you dropping the items, so they would still be in your inventory, but they would still be in the online game, as long as the host didn't log off. Once I had finished leveling every class, helping friends boss run or just run thru the story, ect. I started joining random peoples games, and would ask them to stay out of town for a little while, and to add me back to the game when I messaged them after leaving. For those who did so, they would return to town when I was done to a mountain of orange light and gems, enough gear to make any kind of character they could ever want. Eventually, I had one of the coolest things happen. I joined a kids game one day. He was playing with his friend, and I started my spiel. "Hey, I wanna do something for you guys, can you stay outta town for a bit" blah blah. I actually got a response from the kid, "oh my God, you're that guy! You're the guy that goes around giving people free legendaries! My friend told me about you!" He kept telling his friend who seemed new at the game (they where in act 2 I believe) to stay out of town, and when the friend asked why he just said "you'll see". Eventually I finished duping all my stash, and the hype when they got back to town was a highlight of my life. Made it all seem worth it. Yeah ... good times.

It's been a recurring story since games first became a thing, companies getting so big they believe they don't NEED the specific artists and designers that built them, everyone is a replaceable asset. Except games really are an art form, and not every member of a team CAN be replaced without the final product you are making being significantly different, there is no class you can take on how to make a fun and engaging ARPG, you kinda just have to figure it out, particularly notable that some of the original team that birthed diablo 1 and 2 from whole cloth ended up getting fired in the various takeover debacles, the people who quite literally invented the genre that made your company famous, nah, we don't need anymore ideas from THOSe people! Insanity.

He forgot to mention, that there are two different types of legendary crests in the game. The type you can get for free and the paid pass, and the ACTUAL legendary crest. Which you have to buy.

Blizzard is not the company It once was a lot of the guys who made the old games no longer work at blizzard. At this point it's just a finger puppet for Activision and Bobby just the shell none of the heart is there. It's a real shame cuz as someone who grew up with old Warcraft games and Diablo being my first PlayStation one game the antics now kills my childhood in a way. Perhaps I'm just being melodramatic...

Diablo 2 is still the peak of the series, without a doubt. Diablo 2 Resurrected is one of the few remasters that I consider to be fully successful (done by the previous Vicarious Visions studio), even considering the heightened system requirements. The trading problem still remains, along with the vastly outdated game search lobby and I'm still baffled at why they didn't fully remake that. Nowadays however there are Discord servers where you can search for potential buyers/sellers which makes the process way easier. Too bad there's nothing in the game like that.

Unity has more L's than Blizzard and EA combined, where blizzard has a history of criminal activity and EA has a long history of hurting games and breaking their stuff with bugs, Unity has chosen a path of greed that will destroy the business extremely fast blizzard and EA will survive unity going to die!

I played Diablo 3 and had not one issue this guy's describing. I didn't get involved in the multiplayer or trading at all, but I had hundreds of hours in the main game and loved it. It's pretty much the only Diablo I enjoyed

In some games, the game is the grind (Warframe, Monster Hunter, Destiny, many more). The core gameplay loop should be fun to play, grindy or not. Not all games should be looter type games, but they can be good, especially ones that don't charge you real money for shenanigans.

The way you trade in diablo 2 is similar to path of exile right now. You use an external website and some mods to trade items in your 'stash' by DMing someone in game and joining up in a party to trade the item. its a bit more streamlined, but still jsut as clunky.

nah its more like pokemon level caps you at 50 and then you get a 1% chance per x ammount of money spent that you might get to go up an extra level ... oh and every couple of months pokemon resets all your chars and levels

Not gonna lie, I almost caved when Diablo IV came out. But it only took about a week for the tone to change. So, I've upheld my abstinence from Blizzard games for quite a while. The last Blizzard game I spent money on was StarCraft 2. Didn't even get the expansions. It's been painful watching the company behind some of the greatest PC games ever made warp into a twisted avatar of literally everything wrong with the gaming industry.

Eh, depending on the game, grinding can be cathartic for me. I grew up on snes final fantasies and phantasy star on the genesis, so i guess I'm used to it. It can be relaxing in relatively small doses. I'm sure I'm in the minority with that though lol

To be honest D4 was the first blizzard producted id bought in a while but it sucked and now im pretty much finished with blizzard forever... I’m thankful my friend bought me D4 because if I bought it myself I would have been beyond pissed. Game was hot garbage and they only continually made it worse.
