This concert was on my 14th birthday. We moved from NOLA a year and a half prior (due to the freeze of Christmas '89). My dad was a huge fan of these guys, and would rock the house with a double stack of house speakers! I couldn't stand it as a kid, but over the years I came to appreciate the absolute talent they had. Now that Dad has been gone 5+ yrs, I'm thankful for the exposure. New Orleans based music, and the Cajun/Zydeco music in the Cajun heartland of Lafayette. An underrated group that never got the recognition they deserved. They, along with my dad, live on in my heart.

I had the album back in the '80's, and the first time I heard this tune, "Mojo Hannah," I just flipped. All these years later, I still feel the same way! Thank you, Neville Brothers, for your priceless gift!
