500 ml upfront + 1500 ml in the rear, I don't think there's much re-filling necessary here.

Right. She was even having to futz with the cap and she was standing right next to it. Even if it were the full 2 L that maybe get you three hours of riding in ideal conditions. And I’m supposed to spend $14k for a bike and then have to fight with some rubber straw to thread through the frame. I’m keeping my eye out on race day to see how many pros are actually using that reservoir.

Thats what i was thinking. The cleaning of the hose part after the race, let alone of how to refill that water box in the back.

JJ Garcia Yep. There is no precedent for athletes refilling a reservoir BEHIND them on the fly while still in the feed zone space that allows discarding trash. Even dumping into a reservoir upfront is challenging in that small a space unless you slow waaaay down.

Don't know about the hydration unit. During ironman it would be really practical to refill, and also, the dark color will make your fluid go hot hot hot. But it seems like a practical place to put batteries for an electric motor.

Some great points , handlebars and down tube storage. Some not so great, disc brakes less aero and totally unnecessary, that rear hydration looks like a clip on afterthought. What does 1.5 litres of fluid weigh? Just have one bottle up front and change at each aid station?

1.5 litres of fliud will be 1.5kg approx... rear hydration does not look very practical at all..

Disk brakes are less aero than rim brakes BUT you can make a much more aero frame with them. This bikes fork would NOT fit rim brakes and would have to be made less aero to do so. Although the braking performance isn't needed the freedom it gives bike designers is useful

They really changed the paradigm with that front end. Not sure I believe it is faster than say, a speed concept front end.

I agree. Your forcing air in 2 small pockets which should cause drag. Why not take an example of the speed concept en make it better

Forcing air into two pockets doesn't actually create more drag. It's also about where the air goes afterwards so it's not always self explanatory

The color contrast between the carbon frame and the plastic rear storage box is not acceptable on a bike at this level. A better job could have been done with LED light integration at the rear and with a color scheme that compliments the bike's proportions and lines.

You do not pour drink directly into the back part, there's a container which is filled, and which can be replaced should it get too messy. :)

I really like the design of the bike but one thing worrying about is cleaning. Cleaning hydration cell and tube looks bit cumbersome... But anyway I am not able to get this bike in my life time probably...

Seems impossible to refill the hydration system on the go and there is no water bottle mounts..

For a TT bike, it looks awesome. But for a bike.... well sorry but it's absolutely horrible, except for the front fork which looks interesting for the future of road bikes. I say this even if I have a S-works Venge 2018, which is not considered as a good looking bike as well.

That hydration unit is just plain dumb! I would never want to fill from behind me and then have to fiddle with that cap. She could barely do it sitting next to it. Everything else seems nicely done, but I just can’t get over that hydration. Wow.
