Good Sunday afternoon Brian! Thank you for sharing this with us! I still have reservations about the 2.4 engine unit I can be convinced that it will be durable and will last as long as the 3.5 V6 does. I could fit in the back seat of the previous generation with my longer legs. I’m not as sure now if I could ride in the back seat except for sideways maybe. I will say I am impressed with the acceleration afforded by the new 2.4 turbo engine. I’m guessing that you will do a review of an SR model when one comes in to the dealership. I was fine with the new basic touch screen. I do like seeing the standard lumbar support for the driver seat! You are one of very few who I would trust! I’m honored to continue supporting you and your channel! I’m here for the “long run” Friend! Mark in Iowa! Have a great week ahead! Mark.

People were unhappy with 3.5 liter V6 when it was introduced in 2016. The six speed was never a good transmission. The new turbo and eight speed are ahead in driveability. You just have to understand engine with turbos have more parts, and generate more heat. Therefore issues will be more.

Just bought the SR5. Loving it. Iam a Ford girl and test drove a Ford maverick. No where close to the comfort of my new SR5. Interior and exterior design way above that of a ford.

Always like watching Brian’s videos. This is a nice looking truck, but I wouldn’t trade my 2023 TRD Off Road for anything.

Thank you! Ya that’s a tough trade.

I’m with you on the manual seat adjusters. I only like the auto adjusters when the vehicle has memory profile buttons for different drivers. I like the smaller screen as well. My wife’s car has a massive screen I don’t really like using. I wish it had the same gauge cluster as the TRDs though

As a 2023 Tacoma TRD Sport owner, I have to admit that I love the deeper bed on the new 4th Gen. I use my truck for truck things and a deeper bed would come in handy! And, the locking tailgate is a bonus.

If you subscribed, thank you so much and welcome to the channel! Also, thank you for your support! I think the 2.7L is a life keeper, but the new Tacoma will spoil you with a great drive.

Excellent video, just 2 criticism, as you show interior space with you as an example it would help the viewers to know your height, and for those who complain about the half handle on the passenger side you forgot to mention they still get a full handle above. Other than that very good complete review.

Wonderful truck looking, I really love it, we still have the Hilux in the middle east and Tacoma maybe found in some middle east countries as I saw it in Lybia and others. I feel it Toyota is Toyota whatever they add or modify on it, definitely you'll feel it's a Toyota ❤❤❤ I always love the way you review any of them as I a big fan of your review style, that encourages people to buy it, really I wish Toyota to make your channel one of their official channels. Great work in this video Brian 👍 Sending blessings from Egypt 🇪🇬 Peace bro ✌️

I really like the way they look! If they made the army green I would try to find a way to make the numbers work. What do you think about 4cyl turbo? Thank you for your kind words once again you made my day! I can’t believe that I am a few people away from 40k subscribers. I’m excited to see how my reviews hold up as time goes by. Again, it is always a pleasant gift to see your writing to me Hamdy thanks!

Thanks bro🙂 About 4 cylinders turbo, time will tell later about the reliability, however Toyota used turbo engines many years ago as well as the lexus, so I trust Toyota!

Question. do the vents even hit you good at that angle? and does the phone slide while driving when its notched up against the charging pad, cuz i have a 13 min
@brianrupertiАй бұрын
The vents work good. I like the 3rd gen vents a little more but that’s just likely because that’s what feels familiar. The phone doesn’t seem to slide around either.

I feel jipped. I just got a 2024 Tacoma SR5 Longbed and it didn't come with rear sliding window, bed lights or soft landing tailgate. But it did come with 4x4.

Where did you buy it
@mlkauffmanfly26 күн бұрын
In the same boat, except short bed. No sliding window, no tailgate dampening, no bed lighting, no trailer brake control. 2024 SR5 with dealer lift and TRD wheels with 33” tires. The tires, unfortunately, are contacting, and tearing out, the felt inner fender liners.

You make is sound like people were clamoring for these upgrades and therefore you justify the increase in prices. If people wanted to spend more and have those features they would get bigger trucks. Toyota missed the reason for Tacoma’s existence, cheapness.
@brianruperti4 ай бұрын
Thank you for watching. In response to your comment; Almost. Many people have, over the years, complained about the frumpy shifting, the outdated interior, and the lack of low end power and technology. That’s a simple fact. Me justifying the price, not exactly. Just reminding potential buyers that even though the prices are high (and it hurts, a lot), you’re getting a lot of upgrades for the money spent.
@noxnyc234 ай бұрын
Ah I have a 3rd gen. I love the simplicity of it but I deff welcomed the upgrade of my 4th gen with the latest tech. We wernt clamoring for it but we were deff looking for it.. drivability has improved, actualy feels alot faster than my 3rd gen and super smooth transmission and again the techs being up to date is just a bonus. To real Toyota owners of previous gen they hit it out the park with the 4th gen.. I’m not one of those bitter taco owners who thinks the v6 slug old tech previous gen is 10x better and should be the same price is just wild. I love both but the 4th gen is yes way better.. reliability of the new engine ?? We shall see but then again it’s Toyota so I’m ok with that.

Unfortunately, cheap isn't an option anymore when it comes to trucks. I'm a roll up windows kind of guy don't really care about fancy stuff in a vehicle but to each his own. I'm lucky I can turn my cellphone on lol.

Cons: no increased mpg, less interior room (people and storage), no hand brake (electronic is not the same), dash display like a low end Corolla and price. Pros: Headlights and foglights lighter tailgate. Please bring back some earlier generation aspects. Tacoma is not just a truck, its a look, attitude and life style.

Why does Toyota hate its consumers? No one asked for this generic, too expensive, step back in design truck.
