These map reworks don't do enough. Recently downloaded BFV again and those maps feel like real places. It's not just the cover density, it actually feels like I'm fighting over a real place. There needs to be more POIs between flags that feel like real places..

I think about this all the time. I get sad when people still want to bash BFV because all I can think about is how often I remember insanely intense fights over certain rocks and features because they're so real and good looking. It always feels like I'm really spilling blood on a memorable rock and it matters. 1 had that feeling too, every little area was memorable. 2042 maps feel like I'm having a bad dream stuck in a Barbie house, just flat ground and plastic random assets scattered around, I never actually care or remember what I'm fighting around

You really dont. Ive tried all lmgs, snipers, pistols, carbines, shotguns, pdws and ars and nearly all feel the same. Got 150 kills on every lmg and i only felt differences on mg4, m240b and rpk12

Man I swear I never end up in a server where enemies seem to sit still. In mine they're just constantly moving so shots miss them by a whisper. Of course, they'll still be moving around when they fire back and have zero accuracy loss.

The renewed renewal is quite a good map now, it also wasn't the worst of the bf 2042 maps to begin with. The mouse input fix made a huge difference on my gameplay, my infantry combat was so bad I almost exclusively played with vehicles, but now I can actually mean something as an infantryman 👌

That ssd for ps5 is so crazy man I bought a 2TB variant and switching games take about 30 secs and the best thing is you can easily install 20+ games on the ssd while having the internal storage completely unused it‘s just mindblowing comparing it to the ps4

The GOL is the first sniper rifle in BF2042 I can actually hit something with. The bullet velocity feels way faster, I don‘t know. I wish it had a tier 1 skin though.

I’m enjoying it but have only been able to unlock the 1911. Kind of disappointed the requirements to unlock the p90 and Gol are higher level unlocks. It makes it harder new players like me to reach. Mouse latency is absolutely better and I’ve also noticed a decrease in stuttering when firing fully automatic.

He told you how to do it in the beginning. I have the Gol and it did not take that long, maybe an hour in the new TDM playlist. You could also go to portal and use the actual p90 to get the p90 in AOW.

I cannot use the sws, the velocity feels sooo low compared to the other snipers. Ill fire and by the time the bullet makes its way there people move. The dxr 1 is my personal fav.

You use equipment and gadgets and everything is fine for you at the zoom level, me on my side as soon as I switch to my secondary weapon, whether I use a gadget or equipment the x6 and x12 sights zoom me in x0. Im getting huge performance drops recently; average FPS supposedly 100ish on Low 1440p but with constant drops to under 20, its awful. Running i7 12th gen and 3070Ti, its mad. Dont have issues with other games.

Finally… more than like 12 guns. If new maps are added (hopefully ones that feel like BF4 and BF1 maps in atmosphere and functionality) I’ll be willing to give 2042 another try. I will admit the graphics are awesome for me (3090 and 4K 120hz TV) and if they can somewhat replicate the BF4 feeling I’ll come back and hopefully enjoy it. Glad they addressed mouse input, 2042 felt off to me control wise.

The game is fundamentally trash and I don’t think any amount of updates can fix it. The lack of effort can be seen and felt with all aspects of this game - even on the “updated” maps. Just look at some of the interior rooms. There is no detail. It’s not even about graphics. There is nothing interesting, immersive, or dynamic. Plain empty rooms. FPS in 2001 had more detail.
