I had a load of toothpicks on and the the differential separated the right side coming forward roll the truck over at 40 mile marker in Arizona on I-40. That happened in the 80s and I never got to thank the guy for the coffee with cream and sugar in it which I don't drink but then I drank it. They found out that a torsion bar hanger had been cracking and separating for a while it finally broke.

You told it right Tim... I was just a kid and sixteen driving my first logging truck... I had to stretch out on my load and when I dumped the load, I didn't shorten back up on the trailer reach. So with trailer loaded back on the truck an proud to be a "truck driver" I headed back for my next load. There was a girl working at her dads service station so I pull up to the pumps like before. My trailer reach was jutting about three foot higher and so not paying attention, ran that reach right into the service store front that covered his pumps. The reach hit the newer structure, and its stronger than the building so it come down off its blocking and there was my reach stuck through that roof of the balcony cover. I wanted to die! It took near a year out of my wages at a time to pay for it... and the girl didn't want nothing to do with me :( LOL

I drove back in the 80's, before GPS, but I was in Pennsylvania I believe it was, ended up on a dang scenic route, at night, headed to Eagles Nest I think it was, any who my trailer landing gear bottomed out going up a switch back. What a mess, had to back down in the dark for at least a mile. Scared the day lights out of me but I made it safely. Happens to anyone out there for any length of time
@leslie4763 жыл бұрын
Just a suggestion guys, races go in the freezer, bearings go in the deep fryer, and the torch goes on the hubs. Makes it soooooo much easier. P.S. change the deep fryer oil before you do fries again.
@dmonat3 жыл бұрын
I gave you a thumbs up but I wouldn't put the rollers and retainer in a fryer (if that's what you mean by "bearings").

Porter greetings! ✌️ It’s good to see the Cabover coming together. Now that’s the way to do it…go through everything while you have it on the lot and make it ready for the road. This is my take on the Travis event…he had a problem, he called you for help, you and your team came out to help him out of trouble. That’s what I call TEAMWORK! And that’s the way it should always be. When one of your team is down, get out there and take care of him. I’ve been in that situation and it sucks when you have to make several calls for help and no one comes to your aid! The Ford: it looks like the outside is ok, but somewhat like it was mistreated on the inside and the motor as well. Hope you get it working for ya. A dump truck is always a good piece of equipment to have. Until next time! 🤩😎
