especially when you have to do a microwalk into a motion, or the inverse, a motion without walking, and suddenly you have motion execution in the mix with timing execution. And it's not the annoying kind where you have to draw a realistic portrait of Benjamin Franklin with your stick inputs in 0.2 seconds. It's short bursts of precision which becomes a bit more like doing PEWGF which I think is a lot more satisfying to do than breaking your hands with too many inputs.

The thing is, in a lot of cases theyre just literally the new one frame links. Cant buffer a microwalk so you need to time it, the same as a link

I'm one of those people who laments the decrease of execution requirements in fighting games, so it's nice you have something kind of like 1 framers were in SF4, but I find microwalks to be a bit easier than 1 frame links, at least with AKI. Either way, most people don't do them.

Another pretty cool combo is new DP/super punish when your opponent isn't poisoned. You can start with Light Whip > 5HK >> EX Whip and do whatever combo you like including examples from the vid.

I wish more characters got combos off of anti airs. Jumping in is too low risk-high reward in SF6. I like that AKI can make you eat between 15% and 50% damage for jumping on her.

if you're on classic try hesitating just a hair on the forward portion of your H whip motion before pressing the button. if you're on modern hold the direction long enough for aki to recover from the last action before doing the attack. I wouldn't recommend tapping as it might change which move gets interpreted on characters with overlapping motions. check the training mode frame counter for timing; you're probably used to inputting moves just before your recovery finishes so that the buffer makes it airtight but when doing a microwalk you're specifically avoiding that. also if you're new you most certainly don't need this much combo optimization yet, so don't spend too long and frustrate yourself with it. there's probably easier stuff to work on that you'll get bigger returns from.

It's dependent on the frame advantage of whatever combo. There has to be at least a window of 2 frames in order to build that sliver by walking. Not everyone has combos that practically allow that

I don't think this is correct. I think you're accidentally getting a microwalk because theres a tiny gap between finishing the quarter circle forward and pressing punch. Even if I delay it I don't get any drive gain by pressing HP on the same frame as the forward input.

Delay does work similar to EX stomp against crumpled enemy or EX scissors into Psycho crusher (just an example that I discovered) idk if it's a bug or not but during this,if you delay correctly you dont need to micro walk and you get drive regenerating as if you did micro walk. I'd assume Aki has something similar now and that's what you discovered

I've tested this and there are indeed situations where forward walking restarts the drive gauge recharge sooner than any other action, almost like the guilty gear tension gauge.
