I'd do alot of outlandish things to A. be able to be in the 40s and listen to this on a winter night with my mom and sister, and B. be able to tell Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce just how damn much their Holmes and Qatson films and radio dramas bring me happiness and ease my anxiety. Something I've never been able to quite figure out, but I am now 35 and having found these st about 32 years old ive watched/listened probably 100s of times and it is just brilliant to me. Grateful to have them still all these decades later.

My dad was a fan of these. I can imagine him listening to these on Armed Forces Radio when serving in North Africa in the Army Air Force in WW2. He was at a British base commanded by Montgomery.

This is probably the silliest plot of any of the episodes with these two lol. Watson: "Holmes you're going out again? I thought we would have a quiet evening together in front of the fire?" Thing that's actually said in this 1940's radio play...
